I saw the movie when it was in theatres, I don't think I have seen it since. I just started watching season one on DVD.

In the movie, right before the nuke went off in Ra's spaceship, I seem to recall his whole body starting to glow from within, and you could see what looked a bit like one of the "grey" aliens within him. My memory may be faulty on this subject.

In Stargate: SG-1, the "gods" are basically humans with an oversized Ceti Eel/Pupper Master/Bodysnatcher thing in them. Did these ever show up in the movie at all, or were they an invention for the show? I don't remember them, nor the aliens with the kangaroo pouches.

The Gou'ld showed up in the show. Ra was just a guy that had an alien in his body (recall the scene where Daniel reads the story).

The production values are higher than I expected, particularly in the early episodes. I thought the series was originally shown on network television. If so, I am guessing they edited out the nudity in the pilot episode?

Wha??? who was naked? inquiring minds want to know!

Shaa're was...

I always liked the movie but never got into the series. But then again I jsut couldn't stop waiting for the main character to whip out some tin foil, a rubber band, and some chop sticks and make a death ray.

I loved the comment from the female lead who's name I cannot yet remember when she talked about how they "MacGyvered the controls together" or whatever it was.

There's a blooper out there where Carter says, "Come on. You're like, MacGyver. Get some duct tape and shoelaces and fix it"

Every stargate fan should see this. Period.

Ha, I love the part in the episode "Emancipation" where the Colonel trades a Beretta with a half-full magazine for Carter, and the chief is firing it into the air while everyone dances and cheers. :D

Jacksons wife had large supple bussoms and a very hairy thatch. It's worth watching for that. She's smokin hot.

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Never seen that, thanks!

I'm still pissed SG-1 was cancelled, their showtime not working with my schedule was the reason I got a TiVo :D

Spoiler alert

I  SG-1 but I think the series needs to end. IMO the show had its best seasons from 1-5, 6 was a transition period, and Quinn was shaping up to be a good replacement, but IMO the show jumped the shark a bit when they brought Daniel back. After Antarctica at the end of season 7, it's gotten really silly. I still watch, but I miss the old days.

I didn't click the link but I know the outtake you're talking about, it's hilarious :D.

The show is full of inside gags. In one episode, they talk about ALF and O'neill is like 'Who's ALF?' and they go on to explain it was a popular TV show in the eighties and he says he's never seen it. That's because MacGyver and ALF ran at the same time on different networks at one point :D

It did? I didn't think it started back or another couple of months or something.
