As a movie, it had good action and held my interest. However as I mentioned, the textures used in space were rather poor and disappointed me.

I made the Diablo 2 comparison based upon my assumption that the movie was made by Blizzard or a related company. In this regard, perhaps the comparison should be made to Freespace 2 in-game textures and movies. It has been about 2 years since my 5th playthrough of Freespace 2 and from what I remember, they could be comparable in texture quality.

The Marine was rather well done as was the Protoss. The big letdown was the quality (or lack of) in the graphical quality of the space action scenes.

Thats just downright ungrateful... lucky most starcraft fans appreciate fan made content.

Do you realize how long it takes to design/render/edit/produce a scene in a Blizzrad CG? Sometimes it can take a year just for one scene with a dedicated team that works only on that- Blizzard have a separate independent division that is dedicated solely to cinematic production. You cannot expect a fan made production probably by one or two guys using whatever tools they come across in whatever spare time they may have to compare to anything we see in cinematic in todays games.

It was good I enjoyed it.

Yes I do and I did not expect it to be of such quality.

I have already said that I have enjoyed it but disappointed with the textures in the space action sequence.

All you people complainingabout how it looks "old" dont get it.

I'll bet money that the animators tried to instead make it look like Crysis to instead tried to keep it as close to the original SC art style as possible, which it did very well. It really reminded me of how blizz would have done it if this was a cutscene in SC Brood War. Could it have looked better? Probably, but why would you if ti meant it would not look like a SC cutscene anymore? Art direction is not just making something look as realistic as possible, take all of Blizzard's work ever for example.
