Nostalgia notwithstanding, Katie Sackhoff was a better Starbuck than Dirk Benedict.

. . . grande mocha and a katie on the side for me thanks.

lol, over half this thread isn't even answering his question.

His OP wasn't: "Do you like Starbucks, what are some alternatives?"

Say large coffee, it works fine. I don't understand why people have problems with this.

I rarely drink coffee from there, though I do get the occassional Americano and I have no problem saying Grande Americano. What's the big deal?

Is Venti a large, or is it an extra large?

I understand the starbucks hate because of the "style" of the place, but not the hate on the coffee. It's good, and the regular coffee is not much more expensive than mcdonalds or dunkin donuts or wherever, and it tastes way better. dunkin donuts is the worst, they are like the bud light of coffee. Whole Foods is my spot of choice though. They always switch up the "daily brew" and it's always very tasty. I drink coffee black though, so if you want a dash of coffee in your milk and sugar, I'm sure dunkin donuts works for you 🙂

This is so a decade ago.

Tell the fucking barista/lever monkey: "I want at least Xoz of this crappyfrappypoodle drink, give me whatever is closest".

profit.

Personally most around here in Palm Beach I know like Dunkin for straight coffee/black....that said most are like a prison break if you want to sit and eat recently.

Most that I know that do Starbucks just do it for the ambiance, some just because it's the closest walk once parked for work.

If you like fancy coffees it's the soup of the day still, unless you have a local shop doing it.

There's a Starbucks near me, and sometimes I'd rather just go there because it's quicker. However, I feel like an idiot whenever I order. I just want a coffee. A big, regular coffee.

Usually I'd just say "Large Coffee" or "Extra Large Coffee" but "Venti" makes me sound like an idiot. "Venti Coffee"? "Bold Venti"? Seriously, what the hell am I supposed to say?

Man, just say you want a large coffee. They know what size you mean and how to ring it up. 😛

People say Starbucks is more expensive but I noticed their medium is the same size as a Crap Hortons extra large, for roughly the same price. It's just the fancies you pay a fortune for. I used to like their black tea lattes until I reverse engineered them at home. I wish there was a place like that near my work.

You have it backwards. I like that I can go to Starbucks and get a comfortable seat, and have it be relatively quiet if I'm meeting someone. The coffee, on the other hand, is pretty bad. It's just over-roasted. Everything tastes burnt.

I'm not a coffee snob, if someone wants to go there, I'll go there and not bitch. The coffee's still drinkable, but to me, just about any coffee is drinkable.

Caribou is the only coffee I can drink black, though. Black as in no sugar either, so as to not bring that one into debate.

Dunkin' serves a city roast. It's lighter. Tastes different, and to me, a little sour. It's a matter of taste, though. I just happen to like darker roasts, somewhere before we get to Starbucks burnt roast though.

Let's face it. You, me, and everyone else probably buy our coffee where it's closest. That's why I'm so glad Caribou is closer than Starbucks for me.

seriously here every place is close.

strong doesn't mean burnt. people seem to get that confused. I've never had caribou other than the k-cup/keurig pods

i usually go to carribou coffee, but they raised the hell out of their medium. its $2.09 for medium coffee. ffffuuuu. i can get a mcD medium for $1.19

btw, new starbucks logo change coming soon
