Starbucks went to gender neutral bathrooms

Before there was a separate men's and women's singe-occupant restrooms. Now it's gender neutral so anyone can use it. That's fine for me since I used the women's restroom whenever the men's was occupied anyways.

But I feel bad for women. Having been in men's restrooms I know guys will pee with the seat down because we are lazy and messy. Prepare for some urine soaked seats ladies.

Whenever I used the women's restroom in Starbucks, it was noticeably cleaner than the men's. I always made sure to lift the seat up and flush after I left. I try never to poop in the men's side given how wet the seat is.

Why can't all this shit be fixed and just create a god damn Unisex shiter alone with a men's and woman's? My store has this so there's no issue.

We have bigger things to bitch about in this day and age. FFS.

Now I know this is going to be a shocker to most of you, but I have insider knowledge on these things; Women can be slobs in their designated bathroom too.

Me too, at least starting a decade or so after women had started doing the reverse on a regular basis (circa the late 70s) since the lines for the women's room is invariably so much longer... When anatomically appopriate, "gender equality" is a two-way street, afaic.

Heh. Don't waste your pity... Apparently you're unaware of the common practice of quite a few women (known to me from anecdotal reports from many women over many years as well as a limited amount of personal observation of the aftermath) of "squatting" over toilet seats so as to avoid sitting on the seat (or wiping it off before they sit). And as you might surmise, most women's aim (especially in that awkward posture) is even less accurate than a guy's with his dominant hand in a cast and prostate trouble... ^.-

Frankly, I've always thought gender-separate, individual bathrooms were ridiculous, but then, my view of/attitude toward gender weren't remotely mainstream until quite recently, and for that matter, while they may be currently-politically-correct, I wouldn't say they're "mainstream" now, either...

Yes, a lot of people do care, which is why there are so many gender-separate single occupant bathrooms currently in existence. (/duh?) And if allowing transgendered people to use their self-identified "correct" (multi-occupant) bathroom is what all this raving is about, that's hardly the same as "gender-neutral". Except to those believe that anyone decides to deal with living as transgendered just to get a peek at the opposite-biological-sex's bathroom or its "biologically-correct" users, and they're simply delusional (at best)...

Confirmed. I've had a couple jobs that involved cleaning restrooms. Other than a deuce dropped straight on the floor once, the women's room takes the cake for nastiness.

Most new restaurants in my area now seem to have a single bathroom that isn't gender specific. Problem solved as far as I'm concerned.

I worry more about people consume their products because "they like them" rather than just as an excuse to sit in a semi-comfortable, climate-controlled spot with Wifi for long periods of time...;)

Usually does for me, but (a) I don't have 3 roommates to deal with in a small apartment;) (thankfully, for quite a long time now) and (b) one isn't always within short travel distance of home (I'm thinking of urban areas, where people tend to be "out and about" randomly for longer periods of time than suburban/rural areas where one generally goes "out" to work or to do something specific and then returns home...)

I don't think any woman would be comfortable if it's a multi-person restroom. I don't care about "rights"... this is just weird for the public. I know in some college dorms they have unisex bathrooms too but people know each other and there aren't potential freaks/criminals walking in there from the street.

There are times when one has obligations outside the home, and sometimes there's dead time between them, but not enough to justify going home and then back out.

I mean, I still don't go into Starbucks, but I can see valid reasons for it.
