Take SunnyD's opinion with a grain of salt; the guy thinks WoW is actually good.
Fallen Earth was a fantastic MMO given bad reviews by those who were spoonfed easy levelling and couldnt understand that it was a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
A gritty and difficult MMO obviously too hard for the masses.

When I finally had a chance to log on last night I noticed they had updated the patch notes on the login screen. Couldn't figure a way to c&p them though and didn't see them listed any where else.
General
Audio
- Upon viewing map, if the system list was the last active map and you're in a space map now, the area map is shown instead.
- Starfleet officers have been kicked off Klingon bridges and replaced with appropriate Klingon Officers.
- The scientists on Memory Alpha were expecting you to purchase far too many upgrades before they would allow you to speak to the next scientist. Players will now find that other scientists will unlock after purchasing a moderate amount of products (based on the item values).
- An Exchange has been added to QoNos.
- The ability to powerhue shift your weapon colors has been removed.
- A Mailbox, Exchange, and Bank have been added to Memory Alpha.
- Contact headshots animations will no longer camera pan when they first appear.
- Removed "Assaults" from the in-game scoreboard.
- Items in the C-Store that can only be purchased once per character are now properly grayed out or not depending on whether you can claim the item.
- Fix many items that were incorrectly being put into the Commodities category in the Exchange. Items will need to be removed from the Exchange and re-added for them to show up in the correct category.
- Fixed a bug where players would occasionally teleport onto a ground map without their personal shield activated.
- Adjusting video settings then hitting cancel no longer sets Mouse look sensitivity to 0.
- Fleet Uniforms now save all colors properly.
- Unlockable races now only show up in character creation for the appropriate account.
- Swapping weapons now resets cool down timers properly.
- Fixed several categories of items in the Exchange which were not filtered properly.
- Your bridge officers paperdolls will now update when you equip items while in space.
Missions
- Added SFX for anomaly scanning in space.
- Added SFX for disruptor dual heavy cannon.
Powers and Combat
- Damaged Borg Spheres in the tutorial now respawn faster to ensure there are always some around.
- Klingon players no longer improperly receive the mission to go to Deep Space 9.
- Diplomatic mission Heading Out now has clearer directions on how to get to the Romulan Sector.
- Fixed a broken Borg node in Borg Hunt competitive iPvP maps.
- Klingon players now properly acquire the Azure Nebula missions at level 17.
- The vendor "Letowch" on Ganalda station now sells Kits.
- Bekk Strenn now appropriately addresses players by their current rank.
- Egenn's mission sending you to Memory Alpha is now clearer on what to do and where to go.
- The library computer now describes WASD.
- The Patrol Orion Sector mission is now listed as level 5 instead of 4 to reflect mission difficulty.

- Federation players are now instructed on where to find Lt. Laurel when they receive their ship promotion.

- The Efficiency Trait now works properly and applies proper bonuses.
- Merit rewards have been added to PVP reward tables.
- Updated Crystalline Entity to have more survivability and do more damage.
- Right clicking an officer candidate in the Officer Requisition list now shows a proper info window.
- Boarding Party has been updated so that it no longer generates long cool downs.
- Updated Torpedo Detonate power to fix the issue where plasma torpedoes constantly explode on players.
- Klingons will now get a variety of Bridge Officer types as rank up rewards, instead of always engineering officers.
- Fixed (increased) Crew capacity of Klingon Ships.

Same here
If you knew what to do, you could earn tons of chips and experience by pew-pewing level 40-43's at level 25ish.
But in the grand scheme of things, Fallen Earth is a much harder MMO than most.
I'll tell you this - if you're a hardcore Trek fan/nerd, you're going to love the missions starting around LtC 2. There's several missions that have roots back in ToS - one of them sort of ties both the past and the present together.Really want to like Star Trek Online and have it be successful. Have not found a hook yet though. I am going to keep digging until I get a new/better ship and maybe it will be fun then.

Erm ... no. Keep your Wizard hat on fair traveller.
I am a big PvE fan and very rarely PvP in an MMO as there is typically some fudge skillset or build which can seriously wtfpwn you in 1 second and involves little skill.
Some death penalties are insanely harsh and game hurting whilst others are too carebear'ish. This typically depends on the game itself and it's community.
As mentioned, I am tempted to pick it up for just the single month as it doesnt appear to have much to keep players entertained for longer than that. I would be afraid of burning out the content or levelling within 2 weeks tops at a guesstimate.
Sorry, it was really a general rant, not directed specifically at you. On the STO forums daily there's usually a dozen or so new threads about "Where's the death penalty?" It irritates me that people want to take a step backwards in progress when it comes to games - especially casual games. The only reason most people ask for a death penalty is for the PvP aspects because they themselves want to grief others and get off on someone's misery. To each their own I suppose, but I wonder how their tune would be if the tables were reversed for a while.

I like a death penalty in a game because it forces me to stay safe, keep alive and gives you that rush when you either just finish someone off in time or escape a bad situation by the skin of your teeth.
Certain death penalties like losing items or losing your entire ship/cargo/crew are generally overly harsh and kill the game for a PvE'er.
I have to admit from the general feel I get from the game, a death penalty would fit in nicely.
