The Arena Commander 2.0 demonstration... lacking in fluidity by the team but the experience... mother of god. It's what we've always wanted out of a space game. The transition between the ship and external zones is absolutely seamless. It'd be quite easy for them to add hullbreaches that suck you out into space for a hopeful pickup if your ship survives.

This really excites me that they're going to be able to fully deliver on their promises. I have several friends all ready to go with various ships so we have a large selection when it launches. This will be utterly awesome.

I'll keep playing Elite for now, entertain myself with NMS for a while, then Star Citizen will be prime time. :D

Yeah that presentation was probably one of the worst I've ever seen. Wow it was bad.

But once we got to the gameplay, I saw why I originally backed the game. Some really cool moments.

And FFS Jared! :D

Wish I had the cash for a Connie, well I do but I find it hard to justify the cost of one until I can actually fly it. Happy with my 325A & Merlin so far though.

That was awesome, except for poor Jared's camera cutting skills lol.

This was a really good look at how it's all coming together. I am happy to wait for them to get it right.

It was super cool to see my Retaliator in action. Though, another "lol" moment was with the torpedoes :D

I just finished up watching the demo and loved it. In a way it kinda renews my hope for this game. I pledged back in 2012 so it's been a long wait but this makes me think it will be worth it.

When AC 2.0 comes out two of the first ships should be the Retaliator and the Constellation and at that point they should both have cross-chassis upgrade options. What I would do is buy the base level(ie no modules) Retaliator w/ LTI for $150 this week. Then when AC 2.0 is released you should be able to cross-chassis upgrade it to a Connie. Thus giving you a Connie with LTI and splitting the bill over two payments. Worst case scenario you are unable to CCU to the connie and you just melt the Ret for $150 credit toward a non-LTI connie.

I really liked the LOOK of the Saitek Star Citizen hotas. The price ($150?...can't remember exactly) seemed a bit steep but I'm cheap and hoping that's retail.

The trackballs on the stick and throttle make a lot of sense too although could take some getting used to. But I loved how the two things (stick/throttle) split and then attach to the keyboard. That will fit my current setup very well.

My wallet is ready.

I agree the presentation was a bit rough. Very surprised it wasn't more scripted. And good God....do they not have air conditioning in Germany? It looked hotter than hell in that place. NO ONE wants to see Chris Roberts stomach sweat.....

To me, the best part of the presentation was the social module demo. I'm just really psyched for that. When the dude was walking to Dumpers Depot and the Aurora passed overhead....wow. Such a simple thing, but so damn cool.

Having said all that.....still disappointed that SQ42 got no love. Come on CIG...if SQ42 truly is gonna drop five months from now, surely you can give us a tiny peak inside....

$150 would be a pretty good price for all of that. The X52 Pro is $143 (awesome BTW) and the X55 the SC will be based off is $160.

For anyone interested it seemed to run smoother in windows 10 than it did in 8.1
My machine is toward the low end but it felt smoother in windows 10. I don't have any numbers to back this claim up but I ran it did my upgrade and ran it again.

Might actually have a go at playing around with it! I've been trying to hold off with just the 300i until the game is actually launched... Wonder when that'll be

Who knows, I'm in the same boat I want too upgrade my Aurora but I'm still hesitant.
The promise does look beautiful though.

I doubt this game live up to its expectation which is massive because Elite Dangerous sure didn't.

And how on earth can ED be only 5.5 gb download while this game can be easily over 100GB? And both games are $60?
