Well I have until May 31 to decide (that is when the course price goes up).

For sure I am going to Atlanta next year for another conference :)

Cheers,

I can't convince my wife to fly out there with me. She can't stop thinking about sharks and the bermuda triangle crap:p
The plane has two engines and I can rent a life raft, but no go:(

ive been the past two summers.

my parents have a condo near christiansted. i like it because its not as touristy as some other carib islands (no high rises etc.)

highlights: scuba, casino, buck island, cruzan rum

yes it is poor, and its sad to see that a lot of the damage from hurrican hugo in 89 has not been repaired.

its tough for me to say you will enjoy yourself without knowning what activiites you like. i could spend a month doing nothing but sitting on the beach and reading, so its paradise for me...

here are some pics i took last year (didnt bother to take any this year) - http://picasaweb.google.com/mchristen/200606StCroix

Dear HardcoreRobot:

Nice photo gallery. I'm from Va Beach, now I'm homesick. :)

Sincerely,
Megatomic

ps - I stayed for a week in St. Thomas and had a blast. I was a single 20 year old and there was lots to do. I want to go back to the islands for 2 weeks of snorkeling and fishing so badly.

Our final connection between Puerto Rico and St Thomas was a turboprop plane. You should have seen the amount of black smoke shoot out of the engines when they started up. Even I was nervous. :p

You should see a jet engine startup in extremely cold weather.

I do my best to avoid any sort of cold weather. ;)

I assume it also smokes a bunch?

Why not Puerto Rico then? It probably would have been cheaper and I hear the night life is incredible.
