Our final connection between Puerto Rico and St Thomas was a turboprop plane. You should have seen the amount of black smoke shoot out of the engines when they started up. Even I was nervous.![]()

You should see a jet engine startup in extremely cold weather.

Just as a sidenote, the deciding factor in me choosing the USVI for my honeymoon was no need to worry about exchanging currency and passports. That was a hassle I enjoyed avoiding.
