Been having a very annoying metal sqeaking problem in the front of the car. Seems to increase in sound as the car goes faster and sound syncs with tire roation. Sound goes away when little to alot of brake is applied but comes back when no brake is applied. Wether the steering is straight or turned a little bit the sound comes out. When a big turn is made sound seems to not be there.
Things that have been replaced are, brake pads and rotor. Odd thing is when the car is raised up by the mechanic and wheels are turned no sound comes out. Only when the entire car is on the ground does the sound come out. Pretty stumped as to what the problem is. One time I brought it back from the dealer the squeaking sound was very loud, took it to the mechanic the next day, he lifted the entire car , checked through some stuff, brought it back down and the sound went away. Slowly the sounds came back.
Does anyone have any ideas what could be the problem? What else could be touching the rotor besides the brakes? Was thinking something to do with the suspension but dunno how that could relate to noise going away with very little braking. Oh yea transmission has also been replaced twice, but dont think that could be related. Maybe changing the shocks would help? Need some advice or tips from anyone pleasee.
