03/04/09 lunchtime back squats
161kg x 4reps (the bar looks like a 20kg bar and the weights are in lbs...), heaviest I've done at the lunchtime gym.

04/04/09 saturday session
bro and a bunch of other guys said I couldn't back squat 146kg x 10reps. I knew I could do it as I squated 161kg x 4reps the day before even though I haven't done anymore then 3-5reps for about 9 weeks LOL.

I showed them!

I wanted to max out my Snatch and front squat before a comp on the 18th but the Snatch was so so. I didn't feel very dynamic with 110kg, failed about 4-5 times? 100kg felt solid though.

On to the front squats. My previous PB was 153Kg @ 86kg back in 2007 when I did my 150kg x 3reps.

bar x 6reps
60kg x 3reps
100kg x 2reps
120kg x 1rep rack felt heavy
135kg x 1rep rack felt heavy
145kg x 1rep rack felt heavy
155kg x 1rep rack felt heavy + 2kg PB, felt good so I went for 160kg
160kg x 1rep rack felt heavy, but I got it biggrin.gif + 7kg PB biggrin.gif

+7kg PB for me!

I've been eating lots of carbs and only lifting heavy for the past 8 weeks with not much in the way of volume due to the comps. Hopefully this will help put together a fat total on the 18th but we'll see how dynamic I am.

Bw ~ 89kg

5'10 and 88.8kg in that video. I compete at 85kg but after the British Champs on the 11th July I'll eat some carbs (been low/ moderately carbing for about 4yrs?!!!) and see how my lifts improve and I'll probably cut back down if I am more competitive as a 85 or fill out to 94 if I can go to Euro and World Champs.
