So I followed the instructions from this thread, and installed Spyware/adware/updated NAV definitions, I ran Adware scan three times so far this week and have ZERO files discovered. Before I had just adware+norton installed and had an insane problem with spyware.

Now I'm debating about switching over from IE to Mozilla.:)

Funny, I have IE and have NEVER had any spyware on my system. Set your security correctly and always click "NO" and you'll never have any either.

I'll reiterate the chalenge I gave a couple months ago here:

Send me to a site that loads spyware without notice. Not viruses, just spyware.

If your security settings are right, it's impossible.

One more thing everyone can run is cwshredder. This will take care of any hijacked home pages etc and it works extremely well.

popups have been getting insane on IE. Adaward and spybot doesn't get rid of most spware but not all of them. I tried FF but its same old junk. Go Opera!

Being smart = Spyware freedom.

I like that option. Less to download.

MyIE2... better than Avant.

MyIE2 > Opera > FF > IE > Avant > Netscape > Mozilla for me...

you have never ran adaware 6 have you?

I have and the only thing it finds is some doubleclick cookies. IE 6 and common sense is all I use.

I call BS as I've used "common sense" and Ad-aware 6 picks up a couple of data miners every week
