I'm happy with the $10 a month I pay for Verizon. Tacking onto a big family plan for the win.

Not the least bit interesting. I already pay that for the same service more or less. If they'd offer $50-60 for 100 voice minutes and unlimited data THEN I'd be interested.

??? 500 mins and unlimited data is $30 with Sprint.

Ok, where do you find this? Their basic plan is $30, but that has no data that I can find.

WHOA!!! That's damn near exactly what I want/need, for 1/3 the price of anyone else. I'd have to buy a new phone, since I believe the Treo680 is AT&T only, but it'd be worth it. The only hangup might be bluetooth dun...I absolutely have to have it. Any idea on rather it will work with this plan?

<-- another proud SERO user. $30 for 500mins with unlimit N&E, with nights starting at 7pm. Unlimited txt, unlimited interenet, absolutely no roaming no matter WHAT.

So does bluetooth dun work with your plan?

Hell im unhappy with the $60 a month i pay now.

I don't even want to pay the $43 a month. I'd be happy with my old $33 a month from ages ago. I don't need all the extra features that I'm paying for and can't opt out of for a lower price.

Unlimited nights/weekends and 200 minutes was what I had before. Now I have 600minutes instead and unlimited nights/weekends, but probably never use over 100minute during the work hours anyways.

I was wondering how long it would be until a company offered this. You can bet the other providers will follow suit soon and prices will begin to drop.

Win - win for the consumer and hopefully the day we can kiss minutes, "evenings and weekends," and roaming good-bye is fast approaching.

WOW, that sero plan is EXAXCTLY what I want... accept sprint is iffy for me, and I need a family plan. That makes me almost want to switch... actually, 4 of these lines is only a little more than the verizon family plan... and far more minutes, heh.

Bah, your SERO plan is better than my old SERO plan. I had to add unlimited text so I'm at around $40!

Add me to your list.

Are you guys serious? If you have a Sprint Mogul you get EVDO rev a and you can use the phone as a router alla wifirouter program and you have internet access for you laptop or phone ANYWHERE you go. This is a GREAT deal by any means. I have verizon and have to pay 50 bucks a month JUST for the internet and data plan alone.

im serious when i say i have no fucking idea what EVDO is and prob wouldent use it if its something that can be used also i dont own a laptop and even if i did being able to connect to th enet from my cellphone isnt even on my list of thing i might possibily ever care about

Yay, yet another Anubis "I don't know what X is or I don't own Y and who needs Z" post. I just fucking can't get enough of knowing what that dude doesn't like! Not to mention how much I love his atrocious spelling and grammar!

All I need now is Pontifex to chime in about what he doesn't like too and my day is complete!

SERO is great, they do allow roaming as long as you don't roam more than a certain percentage of your minutes. EVDO is Sprint's high speed 3G data network (same as Verizon). Sprint calls their EVDO service "PowerVision". They also have the Treo 755P which is like AT&T's Treo 680. The Treo 755P is better though. Has the soft-touch paint, runs on EVDO, better camera, more memory, comes in dark blue or red. You can do DUN w/ the 755P w/o having to sign up for the DUN service. There's a DUN patch floating around somewhere (look it up on TreoCentral.com). Got the HTC Touch and there's a DUN patch for that too. I have:

500 anytime
nationwide long distance included
unlimited nights and weekend
unlimited mobile-to-mobile
unlimited text messaging
unlimited EVDO
unlimited picture messaging

Signed up for SERO the year it came out (2006). When my contract was up, I got them to add some stuff to it. ;)

[$30 + TEP (insurance on phone: $7)] -15% discount from my company.

SWEET! Thanks for the dun info. Sounds like I'm switching.

I got my fiancee on to sero 2-3 months before text got added for free, and a few calls in and they added it to her account. I can't remember if they restarted the contract(I'm assuming they did) but it was worth it.

Damn...I almost never use 100 minutes per month...my roll-over minute account is FULL with hundreds of minutes dropping off every month...I wish AT&T would let me donate them to US Military families. Be a nice thing to do...help service people stay in contact with their loved ones...or phone sex lines...what ever works best for them...

That's a GREAT idea. Has this been suggested to them and shot down already?

I've suggested it to several CSR's..."Oh, I'm sorry, we don't offer that."

With all these "Unlimited" services, the people who don't use it enough will subsidize the people who do.

Really? Wow...and I was just so curious as to how they could afford such drastic decreases in rates!

I thought they were just charging way overpriced rates in the first place.

And what is the cost per erlang for each subscriber?

Can I also see your figures broken down by technology, and include the backhaul portions to ISP POPs?

I had Tmobile for two years, then Verizon for two years, and now Sprint since January 07. I live in Houston and Tmobile was the worst in reception and call quality. Verizon and Sprint are equally exceptional for me. Great call quality and coverage.

I chose sprint becaue of their better pricing and am completely satisfied. Besides, with free roaming, I get coverage anyway.

I can't talk about customer service because I rarely call them. I haven't had a need to call any provider.

How long is the contract? For data I use EVDO through Millenicom, for $50 a month, no contract, no equipment to buy (phone is prepaid, where $50 lasts me like 3 months)

How? I just looked on their website and it says $60 for unlimited data, and that appears to be in addition to the voice plan cost. I'd love to have unlimited data + any number of minutes for $30
