Ok,spring is here finally, I thought it might be nice to start a support thread for those of us who have decided to
really get motivated and get into good shape this spring.

I've gotta get in shape here in the next few weeks, or else I'll be the only one in the cast sucking wind when we learn the choreography.

I started running before it got REALLY cold here in Illinois... but now that it's warming up, I've started again. And I've been using FitDay to keep track of everything. My diet isn't really a problem... I've been a vegetarian for about 4.5 years now, but I spend most of my time in front of the computer... :p

Hmmm.. thanks for the link,I'm checking it out now:)

I've power walked for quite awhile but have started running and find it really enjoyable.I've set a goal to try to reduce my body fat and to get to a healthy weight, I figure at 5 ft nine at MOST I should weigh no more than 125
pounds,now to run it off:)

I've been running 2.5 miles a day during the week for about 2 months now.

After spring break (starts tommorow) is over, I need to motivate myself to start lifting and doing pushups/situps.

Always good to start early! I've been lifting for a couple months, and I'm already noticing visual improvement. I'm around 5'9" and weigh ~157lbs. Gettin' toned.;)

I ran this morning(it's finally warming up here) and I'm gearing up my diet, figure I'll vary my intake from 800-1200 calories per day, that way I'll lose weight but not send my body into the dreaded conserve fuel, starvation mode.

how are the rest of you doing? Summer's coming,we all want to feel and look our best!:)

Over the past month and a half I have lost about 25 pounds by simply riding the bike daily at the gym. I also do light workouts with weights and focus more on reps, not weight. I go to the gym about 6 times per week on average and burn about 700 calories on the bike each time (sometimes 500 if I only go for 20 minutes, sometimes 1200 if I stay on for 50 minutes). In addition, I have not had fast food once in the past month and a half. I only drink diet soda, and actually stopped drinking beer for a month (which is amazing by itself - heh). My caloric intake is between 1,000 and 1,500. I have about another 25 lbs to lose and hope to have it done sooner than later.

Good luck to those who are working their asses off!!!!

Woooooo! I love spring, all the hot sexy chicks.....well that's for another thread.

But yeah, this spring is going to be a cutting quarter. I'm eating craploads of protien, low carbs... drinking lots of water, etc etc.

I'm also going to the gym 4-5 days a week, and it gets pretty intense in there. I'm there for about 1-2 hours each day. I'm also trying to throw in a lot of cardio once it get's warmer. I wanna be playing ball and playing hockey everyday if possible. Then i'd be set!

I'm trying to lose about 20-30 pounds by the end of spring..

As the resident bike geek, I approve of this. :D

Seriously, bikes burn mucho calories and don't screw up your hips/knees/feet like running can.

What belt are you Mercenary?? I love TaeKwonDo. I am gonna teach Kickboxing over the summer at my college gym, but its not the same. By the way, Badluck keep up the cardio man. If you stretch a lot too you will feel a lot better. Yoga is another good option, and if you've never tried it I might if I were you. You might think its for girls or whatever, but man its good stuff. :)
