I'm on the first mission and whoa, I'm so tense. Behind every corner there could be something and when I first walked over a landmine, I was so scared cuz I didn't know that was coming(didn't read the hint). So if you're looking for a game as tense as the Dark Project: Thief series, get this game :)

I loved Splinter Cell so I think I'll get this game to play over the Summer. Right now I just have too much work with school to be playing games through the night.

I didn't care for it myself. I prefer an overall fragfest ala UT 2004 to the boring sneaking around stuff in SC2

Have you played multiplayer at all? I played the demo over a LAN with some guys and while it was fun, the mercenary side of things wasn't the greatest. It seems like no matter what vision mode you're in you can't see very well. I'm hoping the full version is somehow different, though I doubt it. Oh well, it still seems pretty cool.

If you're looking for something else like the Splinter Cell games, try the Hitman series if you haven't already done so. Gameplay of the two is different, but the overall Stealth versus Guns a blazing madman tactics are pretty similar. And since the Hitman series isn't new you can probably get both games for under $20 USD.

Hitman 3 is coming out in April as well. Unfortunately there is still no multiplayer. Excellent games nonetheless. Word of advice though, if you do play the hitman games, play them on the hardest difficulity level. Don't "run and gun" until you beaten them the sneaky way.

When you first start the game and try to infiltrate the base, you have to put your back to the wall and squeeze between the fence and the building. Then at the end of the fence, you see a guy warming his hands by a fire. How do you get around the corner, I can't seem to get myself "unstuck" from the wall?

The original one gave me a massive headache because I had to control the camera myself. I can see the advantage of that, but it got very headache inducing after a while.

Why does everyone these days think that EVERY game that comes out should have multiplayer?

It's really pretty simple. Multiplayer = more content. More content = more fun.

I know some games aren't suited to it. I know it would take more time to develop. Bla bla bla yadda yadda yadda. The bottom line is that if a game has solid multiplayer, it more often than not has more replayability. Furthermore, I LAN almost every week. The more games we have to play, the better it is. Some games don't have multiplayer, and that's fine. But if given the choice between a game with just single player and a game with both single player and multiplayer, I'd take the one with both modes.

I'm really not digging the multiplayer aspect of it. Seems like the mercs have a huge advantage over the spies. If you get in a gunfight with the spies 9/10 times mercs win. Mercs always have their gun out whereas spies don't, and spies move slow as molasses with it out. It just seems like totally uneven gameplay, and having it 2v2 doesn't help. Single player I am definitely diggin though
