Spine surgery

A relative of mine recently had a spine operation (cervical spinal fusion, i believe). Does anyone know of someone who had this operation, and how was the recovery? The relative of mine is having a rough time recovering (mood swings, restlessness, general discomfort, sleeplessness, etc). Is this normal?

Hey TechHead. My aunt actually has had multiple back and spine surgeries. She's pretty bad off though. I don't know how extensive your relative's surgery was, but my aunt I believe had the same general symptoms and was in a lot of pain too. Back surgeries are really hard on the body. Sometimes I wonder if it was worth it for her 'cause she really can't do anything nowadays.
