Are you sure you're a 26 year old man and not a little girl? Seriously, hold your eye open with one hand, put then contact on anywhere on the eye with the other, close your eyes and roll em around and they will be alright.

im teh same. it takes me a long time to get them in. then when i finally get it in my eyes burn for about 15 minutes.

been thinking of surgery but still worry about it failing heh. not to mention im a wuss and don't think i could have it done.

it prolly burns because after all the fighting getting them in, the contact may be somewhat dry or have schmootz on em, invest in lots of rewetting drops

yeah i try to keep the contact clean and wet. i really need to get used to it so i can get faster.

but the only time i really use them is in the summer. when i either ride my motorcycle or go to the pool (gotta see the new style's of swimsuits!)

i thought that was way easier. just squeeze the edges and it pops out...

Maybe you should choose a different solution if it BURNS.

When I was still going through the fitting proceedure with my new contacts, I managed to lose one one day and didn't realize it. I spent probably 10 minutes trying to take out a contact lense that wasn't in my eye. Your cornea feels remarkably like a stubborn lense when you're not used to taking them out.

In retrospect, I really lucked out. I could have seriously scratched my cornea.

I've got awesome lenses now. Too bad Sunsoft got bought out by someone and they discontinued the type I wear :(

First time is really tough.

Once I got used to mine - now I can poke into my eyes all the time.

Same thing happened to me, took me forever to wear them and now I've been used to them for 4 years now.

Here's a tip: With your left hand, hold the top of your eyelid open and put the contact on your right index finger, use your right middle finger to hold down the bottom eyelid and press the contact right onto your eye, try not to focus on it, look in the distance.

started contacts this week, and although i havent worn glasses as long as u have (me, maybe 5 years). It took me remarkably faster on my left then on my right. (Maybe this could be because I'm left handed?I dont know). The right eye took me almost 30 minutes until it went in.

Yeah, it took me a little while, too my first time. I ended up just pulling the bottom lid down, and insert it up. Close your eye, wiggle it around, and it's in. Painless and glasses free!

Well about a half hour into the third appointment, I finally started getting comfortable enough to really keep my eye open long enough. Taking them out was super easy.

FINALLY!
