im teh same. it takes me a long time to get them in. then when i finally get it in my eyes burn for about 15 minutes.
been thinking of surgery but still worry about it failing heh. not to mention im a wuss and don't think i could have it done.
it prolly burns because after all the fighting getting them in, the contact may be somewhat dry or have schmootz on em, invest in lots of rewetting drops

You think that's bad, wait until you try to get them out for the first time.

Are you sure you're a 26 year old man and not a little girl? Seriously, hold your eye open with one hand, put then contact on anywhere on the eye with the other, close your eyes and roll em around and they will be alright.
When I was still going through the fitting proceedure with my new contacts, I managed to lose one one day and didn't realize it. I spent probably 10 minutes trying to take out a contact lense that wasn't in my eye. Your cornea feels remarkably like a stubborn lense when you're not used to taking them out.Originally posted by: hans030390

i thought that was way easier. just squeeze the edges and it pops out...

Punch yourself in the eye, then immediately insert contacts. Distraction FTW.
