The only thing to see in Utah would be the mountains. The only place you listed that has any "real" mountains. ;)

<< Eakers, you're more of a bore than the moronic booing fans (who happened to be a very small minority who attended that game)....you need to get over it already and eat some bacon or somethin', eh? >>

it has nothing to do with that actually.

it has everything to do with me going to detroit once.

<< I'm starting in NYC and after Niagra falls I will roughly follow the line Chicago Minneapollis, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas and end in LA... >>

LA means Disneyland and Hollywood for tourists. :) If you're planning to stay longer than a couple days, then I've got plenty more

You can't use your crossbow in MN without a disabled permit. While you're here, check out the Mall of America in Bloomington. All the other good places are in the north part of the state, like Duluth.

Welcome to our great nation!

There is so much to see, and so little time for you!

Don't skip the Grand Canyon, or the Four Corners area. The American South West is really some of the most beautiful country on earth. May I also suggest Yosemite National Park? And Yellow Stone National Park as well. The Black Hills of South Dakota are beautiful too.

Seeing the major cities of the US is only a small fraction of what our great country really is. Are you driving the whole way? There is nothing more American than the cross country road trip :) Be careful of Hollywood. It's a giant slum now. The studios look like prisons with 40 foot walls around them.

Be warned though.... driving from NYC to Niagara Falls is a good 7-8 hours. Chicago from there is at least 8 hours. You will be deathly tired if you're gonna drive the whole thing for 21 days... unless you have more than 2 drivers.

In Niagara Falls, go to the Canadian side...much better view. Make sure you spend one evening, so you can see the falls under the lights. Really cool butterfly zoo, also on the Canadian side.

The US is big! I've driven straight across, took 7 days, w/ no sidetrips. Yes, it was a bit slow, since The Mrs. couldn't drive the truck, and we were towing a car.

San Francisco is well worth the trip. If you can, do Yellowstone (not too far from SLC). Betw SLC and Vegas, try to get to Lake Tahoe--spectacular. While you're there, you might as well do Yosemite as well, before going through the Sierra's down to Las Vegas.

In NYC...Ms. Liberty is worth a trip, the Museum of Modern Art, goto the ticket place in Times Square and get 1/2 price tickets to a show that day. The seaport at South Street, the Carrier on the lower west side, Grand Central Station, the Empire State Building, the Chrysler building, the Guggenheim museum, F.A.O. Schwartz (toy store) next to Central Park, etc... Often, you do well to take a bus tour around the city, since it gives your legs a rest.

What are your interests?

I'd skip the mall of America, unless you're really into shopping or you really find the biggest shopping mall in the world fascinating. I'm not quite sure it is the largest any longer anyway. You can easily waste 3-6 hours and a lot of money there, and time will be too precious.

That's easy for me to say though, I live only 10 miles away from there. What's the most frequent reason I go there? For Sears.
