wow... 21 days doesn't give you much time.

Definently spend a couple of days in New York city. It is quite and amazing city. You could spend your whole 21 days there and not even touch come close to exploring it all.

Stop by DC if you are interested in seeing many famous US landmarks.

See the Grand Canyon.

Visit Hollywood (just so you can say you did).

If you like forests, make a trip to northern california and see the redwood forest. One of my favorite places to visit. I love redwoods.

I'm not very traveled but those are my suggestions.

I going by car...

I'll probably see Washington to, altough that will mean skipping a few things in the middle... (or spend 2 instead of 3 days in NYC)

I'm afraid New Orleans is a bit out of the way :frown: , but can always visit it another time (when's Mardi gra b.t.w.)

Oh, btw, we have enough nice women here in the Netherlands :D

Well, you probably don't like baseball but if you want to see a ballgame Wrigley Field in Chicago is one of the best. If you want to do touristy things you can climb the Sear Tower, visit the Field Museum, Art Museum, Shedd Aquarium, etc...any tourist guide can tell you that. More importantly, be sure to eat a lot as you pass through. Hehe. You should gain at least 20-30 lbs on your trek through the US...and 5-10+ of those should come from Chicago. :D Deep dish pizza would be a good strategy to cram the most calories into the shortest timespan (I recommend Lou Malnotti's).

When are you coming? If its during the summer maybe you can hit one of the music festivals or something.

LOL, yeah it's like the Wild West here. Be sure to bring something automatic for maximum stopping power.

All us Americans are arrogant as hell, too, so be sure not to mention that you are from Europe or we'll have to start booing and throwing rotten vegetables at you. :p

yea, and don't get the armor piercing bullets, they'll go straight through people without armor (the vast majority of people here don't wear bulletproof vests, to the dismay of our government). no stopping power there.

Um, Chicago and Minneapolis are a good 6-7 hour drive apart, and Chicago is the more interesting city. If you do make it up here, you'll see that we have an awesome downtown skyline for a city our size. The three tallest buildings aren't really that tall, only about 775 feet (about 235 meters) and 52~57 floors each. Caesar Pelli (of Petronas Towers fame) designed our Norwest bank tower (now called Wells Fargo bank tower, they put a big stagecoach in the lobby and changed the name, those bastards) in the late 80s, and it looks great, day or night. We've also got a very pleasant parkway network that loops through the city, running around several lakes, and following the Mississippi river part of the way.

Edit: Fixed link.

From DC, I would reccomend you tkae 81 South to 40W. Then you can visit the lovely state of Tennessee.

You will start out in the mountains where you can pick up some good moonshine. Then you can stop off at Dolly Wood in Pigeon Forge. Then its off to Nasvhille. Believe me though there is so much to do between Dollywood and Nashville. You have the Hank Williams Jr. museum, Loretta Lynns's museum, I could go on and on. You just have to pay attention to the billboards.

Lets see, in Nashville you can visit the Country music hall of fame. And we also have the "worlds biggest adult bookstore." Don't know if its true or not, but thats what the sign says.

Then you can head down to Memphis and see all the old people crying at Graceland and you can see the grave of Elvis.

Phew thats it in a nutshell. You could dip into Alabama, but Skoorb was not kidding when he said watch your ass down there.

Eakers, you're more of a bore than the moronic booing fans (who happened to be a very small minority who attended that game)....you need to get over it already and eat some bacon or somethin', eh?
