I got pulled over last night on my way home from a friends birthday thing. I don't know how fast I was going, and I didn't get a ticket then. The officer took my license to his car and was there for about 5 minutes, then came back and said "I am on my way to a b&e but I will be coming to your house tomorrow and you will be getting a ticket." Is this normal or something they can do? Doesn't he have to tell me how fast I was going? I was turning a corner, probably going at least 20 over the limit on the hwy and this car was coming up behind me really fast so I got into the right lane ( was in the left at the time ) and sped up out of the corner (didn't speed up because of the other car, sped up because it was a big corner so usually slow down for it), so I was probably around 30 over. I know its stupid, it was really dark out, I didn't realize it was a cop car, but thats just how I always drive. Does it seem strange to anyone else that he said he is coming to my house to write me a ticket at some point today? I told him that I wouldn't be there the whole day because I have to work and he said "I'll find you".
He didn't get my registration for the vehicle just my drivers license.
