Seeing the first Nvidia announcements at Gamescom, even if AMD had the software they don't have the hardware on the cards.

Game over, and the continues are running out fast.

Apparently they aren't announcing anything till the 25th. With more info the next day.

Doubt we will see anything high end, though they did mention a “special” announcement. Most likely 7700/7800 XT. Would be nice if the 7900GRE launched globally as the 7800 XTX. Doubt it, but neat thought.

You jest but they have some of the best coolers on the market.

-I dunno, that cooler looks weird and lopsided, like it's got room for three fans and they decided to just sort of awkwardly make it with two.

At least Partner Logo is willing to get out of the box and try something different.

Look on the bright side, if the reference boards are only 2-fan designs then its unlikely that power consumption will be high...

The card is too short for a 3 fan arrangement yet long for a low-power 2 fan, and definitely not a blower hybrid: wide ventilation area spans on the entire side of the card. It's also a reasonably thick card, as we can observe from the connector area that still has room for ventilation cut-out. Probably 2.5 slots.

Based on the apparent lower card length than the 6800XT (2.5 slots, 3 fan, 300W) and my experience with the Sapphire Pulse Vega 56 (value cooler design, dual fan, 2.5 slots, 210W card), I would guess this will be a 250W card, maybe 275W if the picture is misleading and the fans are bigger than I expect.

It seems the 7700XT will be a somewhat interesting upgrade

Power though is up.

7700XT has only 12GB Vram, so not that interesting.
Both of them have very high TBP, actually 7900GRE has only 260W, so better than 7800XT.

I will wait for reviews and price, but this doesn't look great.

I see they slot the 7800XT 16GB against the 4070 12GB and from their benchmarks it is even faster.

I can already see the MSRP of 7800XT at $650 :laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing:

edit. Youtube link for the event

Competitor has 12 Gb as well, also for upgrade I consider people who have a 6600XT class or lower, not a 6750XT or higher. At the right price it can be interesting.
