Apologies! (I didn't know the AI aversion was so strong here.)

I will use spoiler tags henceforth.

It isn't "aversion" to AI as much as it doesn't contribute anything to the discussion. We all possess the capability to ask an AI what it "thinks" about something. Pasting what AI says - even with a spoiler tag - is as pointless as pasting in the results of a Google search.

Seriously, what is the point of making a post that contributes ZERO original thought and provides exactly the same information anyone else could get if we cared what an AI's response would be? It is the ultimate in lazy thinking.

I mean, if you must, start a thread called "here's what AI thinks" so you can post the results of asking it various questions like what happens if Intel goes fabless or what happens if Apple starts selling servers.

Question: could Intel sell its fabs and equipment to TSMC, and could TSMC actually make them work?
Nope it doesn't work like that the lines and everything is every fabs recipe the equipment is mostly same though. I am just speaking from my exploration and I did ask a guy once with 30+ year in litho as well.

TSMC could use the EUV equipment. And if Intel has actually taken delivery of High NA machines then those could be useful too. ASML is still probably backlogged on orders.

Fab equipment is more or less the same but internal management is obviously different. Technically they could make it work but Intel fab is not optimize for TSMC node. Intel spin off fabs and TSMC has share of it is probably more feasible.
