No, the 'whole Russian collusion thing' originated with the Steele dossier, a product of opposition research group Fusion GPS and paid for by the Hillary Clinton campaign.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trump–Russia_dossier

Dossier was full of information alleging cooperation and conspiracy between Trump and Putin, now proven to be false (see Mueller report summary). Information in the dossier was used by the DOJ to obtain FISA court warrants to spy on the Trump campaign starting in 2016 and later became the basis of the Special Counsel investigation. Steele and DOJ officials and investigators including Peter Strzok and Andrew McCabe had open animus towards Trump from the onset.
You mean originating with the GOP and as I just linked given to the FBI by McCain at the urging of Graham.

And proven to be largely accurate.

Here we go.....

Demanding full immediate release regardless of the law.

This is stupid. Putting aside any shenanigans by Trump reviewing such reports for classified data has always taken a while. They've also gotta scrub any Grand Jury info and any other info prohibited to be released under the Special Counsel rules. That's all straight up law established long ago.

Then there may be Exec Priv stuff.

It's simply unreasonable to expect an instant turnaround. The Congressional Dems (most anyway) know this, some of you know this too. This is a disingenuous attempt to cause F.U.D. and antagonize the Dem base.

Heck, the length of the report isn't even known. After a couple of years, hundreds of interviews and thousands of subpoenas etc I think we can expect it be fairly lengthy.

You people are nuts (unhinged still).

Buh-bye

And that is called a coverup but you call us nuts. LOL

Ironic!

You seem to have internalized a lot of bad information about the Steele dossier, its contents, how intelligence works, and what was done with the dossier.

1) the primary finding of the dossier, that Russia engaged in an influence campaign to help elect Trump. This was unknown at the time it was written and has been confirmed.

2) the investigation into the Trump campaign came after the US was alerted to statements by Trump campaign members (Papadopulous) where he claimed to have information on Russian espionage activities. The dossier did not start the investigation.

3) while the dossier was mentioned in the FISA applications first, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that and second, there was plenty of corroborating information and there’s no evidence whatsoever that the warrants were improperly granted. None.

4) There is zero evidence of any professions misconduct from Strzok or McCabe as it relates to investigatory decisions related to Trump. This was confirmed by the Inspector General. Disliking Trump is irrelevant - think how laughable it would be if a mob boss tried to claim an investigation into him was improper because the FBI agent’s didn’t like him, haha.

You’re just desperately trying to throw shit around in the hope that some of it sticks.

Here is a breakdown for the left looney's thought process:

1) Donald Trump will never run for president
2) Donald Trump will never be the candidate
3) Donald Trump will never be the president
4) Donald Trump won only because of the evil Russians!
5) The Russian investigation will reveal everything and put him away for life!
6) ....<repeat for 2 years>
7) The Mueller summary is wrong! It's all a bunch of lies! The FULL report will reveal everything corrupt!
8) Mueller is a piece of shit right winger that covers up for Trump!

Do you know what the definition of insanity is? (Hint: You're following the definition word for word you fucking retard).

It's diversion. It's like "It all started form the Steele dossier & people who hated Trump! It's all lies!"

So what if it is? It's a misapplication of the poisonous fruit of the poisonous tree legal defense. Trump's own actions prompted the appointment of Mueller.

Quick programming note for viewers just tuning in:
Trump fired Comey because of the investigation into his connections to Russia, prompting more investigation.

Yes, we have film on this.

We now return to the GOP-fueled trainwreck already in progress.

Disagree but don't have the time or energy to go through this systematically and refute with links.

BUT: this will all come out.

The origins of the 'Russia' investigation were fraudulent and used as a pretext to remove a President who challenged the status quo to the degree that no one, not Obama and his DOJ/CIA NOR Republican establishment figures like McCain and others were prepared to tolerate. Even if removing/neutralizing Trump required an unprecedented and extraordinary abuse of powers of federal investigatory agencies at the highest level.

Nice conspiracy theory! It was obvious before the election that the Russians engaged in a concerted attempt to help Trump get elected. That's what the intelligence agencies told Obama. It was also obvious that they were the party who hacked the DNC & Podesta emails. That warranted investigation no matter who won. When Comey tried to do his job, to investigate that & to investigate Flynn, Trump fired him & said it was because of the Russia thing. Rosenstein appointed Mueller to make sure that such an investigation took place, rightfully so.

Believe what you like if it makes you feel better.

This version of events is as accurate as the proclamations about all the 'clear' and 'obvious' and 'indisputable' and 'verified' collusion between Trump and Putin that Mueller and his team of anti-Trump attorneys failed to uncover after 2 years of trying.

Funny article:

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/03/25/us/politics/mueller-report-disappointment.html

Delusions of Mueller as a savior were comforting to many, and reality is hard to accept.

A popular podcast called “Mueller, She Wrote,” which is streamed up to 200,000 times a week, calls its Russia-obsessed fans Muellerites. One of the three hosts, a California comedian who goes by A. G. and has a tattoo of Mr. Mueller’s silhouette on her arm, said the community was in what could only be described as a collective state of muted shock.

Rosenstein's letter announcing the appointment of Mueller-

https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/3726408-Rosenstein-letter-appointing-Mueller-special.html

Which was obviously prompted by the firing of Comey & the events leading to it. Because the Russia thing, as Trump said at the time. He was trying to make it all go away.

So now that the report has been written, let's see it, or at least let the appropriate congressional committees see it, if only in closed session. Both the Senate & House intelligence committees have clearance to oversee the most sensitive national security matters. Or just let Barr & Trump do & say whatever they want with it.

Confession: My name is Viktor. I live in St. Petersburg, Russia. I hacked into this account and took it over to help Trump win the election again, as comrade Putin is paying me to do. Putin has paid for Trump to be President. Trump is our agent and we must support his victory again.

Except we won't see the Mueller report till the next administration since the White House is busy editing it and making it as flattering as it can.

I'd like the whole picture, warts and all.

Can't really fault someone for not posting here in the past few years. This place has turned into an absolutely insane shit hole of keyboard idiots, foaming at the mouth and hurling insults and personal attacks. There is no actual debate, no civility no respect for yourselves, for each other or for any difference of opinion. Five minutes of reading the crap that passes for discussion would be enough to discourage most any thinking person from posting here.

It doesn't really matter, does it? Wherever you came from, you're here to troll for Trump with the Steele dossier/ Deep State diversion as if that somehow invalidates all the honest national security concerns that actually led to Mueller's appointment.

So, let's have it, Mueller's report. Or House Dems can just tease out the truth from the willing testimony of Mueller & his former staff.

So 5 years after posting exclusively in a thread about hardware, the Mueller report was submitted and his first thought was, "where was that place I posted 5 years ago about a motherboard, I gotta get back there to talk about this!"

Yeah, makes sense.

The 1% number is completely made up.

You'd have to have two parallel world's. One with Russian interference and one without and then compare to determine the difference. Anything else is a guess.

To contend that Russians posting BS on Facebook etc made US citizens change their minds on who to vote for says more about that person's opinion of US voters than anything else.

Attempting to influence (or more accurately sow dissension) =/= actually influencing.

Fern
Without certain knowledge, I'd accept that some voters were swayed. 1% seems like a lot, but there are a lot of stupid around.
