Spaniards are NUTS....

We moved to southern Spain in September..it's all awesome ...but there are some things which are truly NUTS...

They shoot daylight fireworks at ANY fricking occasion. I am talking about bottle rockets which fly up and then explode in a huge BOOM.

It's 6:57 AM right now, some holiday ("saint's day" as they say in Spain) ...and they are fvcking shooting fireworks off right now a 6:57 am.

Not only does this drive all pets, cats and dogs totally crazy - that s**t usually flies up in the air and then the burnt out c**p falls down and ends up on the roof, pool etc...

I think we all know what bottlerockets typically do when launched.

And where all the shit goes after the explosion. What goes up, afterall, must come down. We all ignore it when holiday's come around though, and let go some massive fireworks - though we usually save them for night.

No qualms about fireworks all day though. I love them, the explosions and getting them all lit is half the fun.

I *could* understand Siesta if it were only in the summer because it gets really, really hot here. But Siesta in Winter????

Basically, everything is closed here every day from about 2:00pm - 7:00pm, except that one big supermarket. If we go there in the afternoon, no one except brits and us are there
