Southland

Currently watching The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. Southland can wait a week until it comes on Hulu.

I watched the sneak peak on hulu.com a few days ago. Wasn't bad. I'll definetely watch the 2nd episode.

-Peelback

Meh, losing interest already. I give this show 12 episodes max.

It's like "Boomtown" with **bleeps** only less interesting.

I don't understand these bleeps... Was this show originally made for another channel?

OK, any public network show that actually bleeps gets an instant X in my book. Either simply write the story without cussing, hope you can get away with frack like BSG barely did, or sell it to a cable network.

I haven't watched it but I'm assuming they actually make the bleep sound based on previous posts.

Pwn me if I'm wrong

It wouldn't be very realistic if all the gang bangers, and the police for that matter, did not use at least some swear words. When was the last time you went a day without hearing any? That is unless you live a very sheltered controlled life.

Shucks. I never heard of this movie, so I thought by the thread title that this would be about Southland Corporation, the former owner of 7-11.

Regardless of the subject - I thought network shows didn't include any bleeps.
What other shows do this (NBC, FOX, ABC, CBS)?

Managed to watch 30 minutes of it before I lost interest and moved onto something else. NBC is going to have a difficult time filling that time slot on Thursday.

I liked the show. You guys are notoriously rough on new shows anyway, I think you go into it planning on hating it so you can come here and tell everybody about how you shut off in the middle because it was so bad.

Remember what the MPAA says: Deplorable violence is ok, as long as nobody says any naughty words!

I watched it early on Hulu, and didn't notice any 'bleepage'. At least I can't remember any, and I generally can remember reasonably well things that I have watched. Overall I thought it was a decent show and I think it has potential. Writers did pretty damn well with ER, and I think they can turn this into something interesting. I will at least watch the next few eps to see where it goes.

I didn't get through the whole thing either.

this. Pretty much every ATOT review is that way, which is why I always have to check for myself.
