I think the show has potential. I really don't like the "older tough guy cops are tough on the new young-boy rookie" thing though. So played out. And the bleeps are a little annoying as mentioned.

watched it and liked it.

didn't even notice the bleeping and I watched it live (well, recorded on my dvr off of the live HD airing)

Was good enough to watch the second episode. Though, I cannot think of Ben as anything but Ryan from OC...

I think it's going to pick up now that they have kind of opened up some plot lines to follow. Pilot was good, but not great. So perhaps the next few eps will pick it up.

It wouldn't be very realistic if all the gang bangers, and the police for that matter, did not use at least some swear words. When was the last time you went a day without hearing any? That is unless you live a very sheltered controlled life.

Regardless of the subject - I thought network shows didn't include any bleeps.
What other shows do this (NBC, FOX, ABC, CBS)?

Seemed to me like they were going for "realism" - like you're watching a fictional version of COPS. It's unrealistic to portray cops and gangbangers without using the type of profanity that you can't say on TV (a common complaint about the Black Donnellys). Instead writing tame dialog like other shows, they wrote more realistic dialog and bleeped out the words that can't be said on TV. We all know what they're saying, so it allows them to use more realistic dialog without getting in trouble.

I initially thought it was the guy from Melrose Place/90210 (were these the same show?).

I liked the show. You guys are notoriously rough on new shows anyway, I think you go into it planning on hating it so you can come here and tell everybody about how you shut off in the middle because it was so bad.

Heh... yeah, anything that isn't Battlestar Galactica is "unwatchable" here. 😛 I never even heard of the show until I turned it on halfway through the pilot episode, so I missed the first half. I thought it was fine so far, and I will continue to watch it.

I watched the movie which had a semi decent cast, but it was weird. Havent seen the show yet but ill catch it on hulu probably.

I didn't even know it was adapted from a Movie.

thought it was good for a pilot. will likely give it another chance. Maybe not as edgy as they're hoping, but it seems like it has potential.

I watched the pilot, and I didn't like it. I gave it another chance, last night, and I won't be back.

I think the show is horribly scripted, horribly edited and horribly shot. I couldn't keep it on for more than 5 minutes without surfing for something... ANYTHING... better.

NBC used to know how to produce drama. Now, they're pushing crap like Southland and getting set to push more Leno than anyone needs in the 10 PM slot.

PA-freaking-THETIC!

Did anyone just see the cop divorce the couple. Can that really happen in CA?

It was just a way of cooling them down and to get one to leave for a bit.

The show has decent potential but I just wish they get some steady cameras and fix the sound since it's so quiet at times you can barely hear them speak.
