I want to know... how do you enjoy your SoCo?
 
I have a related question. I got my first Crown Royal the other day as a gift. What should I drink it with? How is it straight?
 
SoCo is great as a shot chilled with lime. Also good mixed with Coke and even OJ.

Crown is also a very smooth shot, probably good straight on the rocks. But I usually enjoy it mixed with coke.

Very Smoooth straight!

Crown and Coke is ok.
The other night I asked the bartender for a 7 and 7. They just ran out of Seagrams 7 so he offered me Crown and 7. It was actually pretty good.

Great with Ginger Ale, Coca Cola, on the rocks.

I typically reserve straight (neat) for Glenlivet 15, Glenfiddich 15 or better, as they have a great amount of flavor that can really be enjoyed.

Reading this thread gave me chills... 100 proof Soco was the first alcohol I puked off of. 9 shots drank out of a water bottle, makes me nauseous just thinking about it.

I like whiskey as much as the next guy, but....

whiskey was meant to be done in shots.
 
Wow...haven't had southern comfort since the day I took my ex's best friend to court (her BF was getting arraigned) and after, we drank a fifth of it, and ended up in bed together....and got caught by my ex...(not married, just engaged)

Crown is good in just about any way you want to drink it...Smooth as silk neat, great on the rocks, or with your choice of mixer. (IMO, too good to dilute with a mixer, but that's me)
 
If/When I drink it, it's usually as a shot...I can't stand the taste of any liquor enough to justify on the rocks.

You should probably add SoCo & lime to the poll, though; from what I can tell, that's quickly becoming a pretty popular combination.
