It wasn't surprising, but it was pretty bad. It's just not funny for one thing, and of course, it's bad taste too. Already seen lots of people joking about Steve Irwin's death, which is a shame. Steve was an awesome guy.

The episode itself was kinda bad. Best ep of this season is still the WoW episode by far :p

How was it bad taste? It didn't make fun of Steve, it made fun of people who probably will dress up as Steve on halloween.

He was in hell.

LOL so you are offended that Steve Irwin was shown in hell but not by the fact that Gandhi was shown in hell?

Steve Irwin was not in hell. He was at a sweet sixteen birthday party thrown by Satan in LA. You didn't have to be in Hell to be at the party.

Or that Catholic priests were in a party for Satan? Or that in an earlier episode it had been said only Mormons went to heaven and everyone else went to Hell?

I was going to say this too. Irwin wasn't even in hell, he was at a party thrown by Satan, along with a bunch of other celebrities.

Anyone who didn't know him personally and claims they were 'deeply offended' is an oversensitive wussy.

fact is South Park spins on today.

Many are making fun of Steve Irwin's death and also making him a saint.

SP is just laying out the parody of it all.

The devil turned him away. It's a parody.

People got offended by the Steve Irwin appearance because he's a pretty wholesome, secular character. Maybe only a handful of PETA members had a distaste for what he did.

On the other hand the majority of the world is not Christian and may not care that Catholic priests get lampooned. Oh, and there is the FACT that dozens of them have molested children. As a wise man once said, "Men of God make people feel guilty and judged".

you do realize how many are members here worldwide....right?

I cared for Irwin, but perhaps it was just the zoologist in me and the fact I went to a cat sanctuary today.
