Assuming AzN isn't a troll this thread is interesting as an example of how powerful propaganda and mis-truths are. I saw some videos of people in NK, many of who do actually believe the party lines and I thought it was sad but then they're not exposed to any information as it is cut off by the government.

Here, though, a guy who is literate and has literally all the information of the history of humankind available to him via the internet and this is what he comes up with. He isn't going to change his opinion because he defends it with wrath, not reason. And his opinions are so demonstrably false. Arguing against the horrors of the North Korean regime is a logical impossibility but he tries nonetheless.

People on P&N are often accused of hating America but here's a guy who truly seems to. And yet his hypocrisy is so obvious, he lives here, he enjoys the pastimes of Americans with his digital toys. His parents are naturalized citizens and he probably is, too.

Because really he is 17. Or he is in his 30's but would miss too much is American dollars that he uses to buy computer parts to play video games.

But remember, he "feels" what North Koreans feel.

Haha, neither have you.

What are you doing here if you aren't interested in PC technology? After all Anandtech is a PC site not a political one.

Anyway, you should really ignore me. I think you're a hoot and beyond education, your stupidity is frankly amusing to me, but some others here have asked you real questions, e.g. Eaglekeeper's last post.

I will stop posting in this thread now so that you're not quite so easily distracted.

I have asked a few simple questions that you apparently can not answer or do not understand what is being asked. Every time; you deflect the issue with another rant.

Given your age that you state:

  • When did you live in Korea? (Age & year) Until 18.
  • Why did you/family leave Korea? Running from military service.
  • Where did you get your education? Location and level? Chongnyangni O-Pal-Pal
  • Where did you get your understanding on world politics? From what sources? Chongnyangni O-Pal-Pal
  • Where did you get your knowledge of Korea? From what sources? Chongnyangni O-Pal-Pal

Given that your view w/ respect to the communistic dictatorships is so different than the majority of people here; it would help to understand your background which might allow some understanding of your position.

Filled in the likely scenario to match his views.

I said I wouldn't post again but this is totally on-topic:

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2010/feb/04/nuclear-missile-threats-to-us-mount/

North Korea is expected to deploy a nuclear-tipped missile capable of reaching parts of the United States in the next decade, despite two long-range missile flight-test failures, according to the Pentagon's ballistic-missile defense review.
...
On North Korea, the report disclosed for the first time the U.S. intelligence estimate of when Pyongyang will be able to reach the technically challenging threshold of producing a nuclear device small enough to be carried on a missile.

So at this point even though obviously NK can't hit Hawaii or anything like that I get the impression that they cannot even hit SK with a nuclear missile right now and literally would be limited to carting nukes around on trucks.

That is a HUGE accomplishment! In the next decade NK can finally hit the US. I'm quite proud that little country like Korea can with stand the evil imperialistic empire like the US. With the help of NK, SK can be free from western barbarism.
