Pre Dobbs I don’t think it would be. With the current scotus the crueler you can be the more they support it.

Also as a reminder the shit heads suooorting this are the same ones calling for “parents bill of rights” to make sure no uncomfortable subjects are taught in school.
Right. Pubs so worried about CRT being taught to their kids they forget these same kids are doing active shooter drills.

Guns good. Black history bad.

That's an interesting point.
Does a parent have the right to have elective surgery done on a minor child?
What's funny is in reality we're not talking about surgery. Ethically doctors won't do sex reassignment surgeries on minors. This is really about demonizing trans kids and preventing them from having access to non-surgical interventions that are not irreversible.

Absolutely fuck this state and these people pushing this agenda.
My heart goes out to those kids and families affected by this draconian bullshit law. I just hope they are strong enough to work through it and not do anything drastic.

Just horrible horrible human beings passing this law.

Let's say parents were in the process of plastic surgery to correct physical defects. A new law would force to parents to stop. Some physical defects have to wait until children are older to correct.

That doesn't sound constitutional

I had plastic surgery when I was 4 years old. I didn't have any say in it.

It was because I was hit by a car on my 4th birthday and dragged under a car about 100 feet. So there was quite a bit of skin that was gone and I needed some work done on my head.

That's the exact reason the decision is left up to parents. I thought Pubs were all about parental rights? Or is that just parental rights we tell you?

Yep. This is about hormone blockers and then hormone therapy, which has been done in one form or another on CIS kids for DECADES.
