Are you saying Christianity is the foreign religion to these people? No. Youre a fucking idiot.

There should be a mandatory class in all public schools teaching about every religion on the planet. But there isnt and so we get numskulled fat fucks like you.
Wow.

Amazing isnt it. That he would assume that Christianity is somehow on the ropes in SC and needs to be in the schools vs a foreign religion that most of those kids never hear about except via fear centers spouting garbage about other people.

I think we are better then that. But thats just me. I expect more from those around me.

What is it with you and calling me fat? That's the second time you've done that.

I think you're the first person I've ever come across who calls me fat.

now I get it...I was somewhat confused by the 3rd world country part of your message. Thanks.

No problem. Glad I could clarify. These schools need to spend more time figuring out how not to be a welfare state and less time teaching about the rapture.

Your one of my projects and thats my special word for you. You dont have any honest debate in you so you are treated as such.

WTH are you talking about? I was just pointing out the double standard that people regard teaching Islam as "cultural diversity" and teaching Christianity as "keep your damned God off my kids' brain."

It's slightly dishonest.

And it's slightly dishonest to pretend that there's all this teaching Islam as "cultural diversity" going on.

Ahkay. I don't suppose it would do any good to point you to a picture of me in another thread, huh? You're just gonna call me fat anyway? 🙂

you see it that way because you arent even thinking on the same level as I am.

Your mind is in the mud dreary and slow.

I was trying to elevate the conversation to talk about religion not as a worship but as a cultural event and how we can teach these religions to our children to broaden their understandings of the world. But we dont do that because stupid fucks like you assume we are trying to convert all your white women to muslimness and make them terrorists.

meaning those do nothings receive 1.35 in federal spending for every dollar they are taxed.

You have to be careful who you're criticizing with those stats. You may think you're criticizing nascar types, but it's possible a lot of southern states get a lot of federal aid because they have large poor black communities.

Sure, I'd invite him to clarify as well, but look at the post he was responding to, and what that post, in turn, was responding to, and note his use of question marks after each sentence. As in, he was guessing at what Doc Savage Fan meant. Seems pretty clear.

Do you still think that? The tone sounds like classic PC double-standard: if it's foreign or minority it deserves a different analysis than if it's majority or domestic. I'm guessing that Jstorm is not really imagining evangelical Muslims but it does seem like when Christians pop in his head they're overbearing evangelicals and when they're Muslims they're part of an easy-going comparative religion class...

I criticize the states that dont put more money in then they get. Most all states have issues they need to overcome and if SC cant do it one of the reasons (I believe) is because they are in the stone age with regards to science and religion.

No I don't! All I said was that it's a double standard to stand for the separation of church and state when it comes to preaching Christianity, while saying preaching Islam is just teaching cultural diversity.

The evangelists were preaching. They were actively seeking converts in the strictest sense. They were not just teaching about their religion as a practical cultural event. To the extent that Islam is taught as being "this religion in this area practiced by these people for these reasons" in public schools I have not the slightest objection. To the extent that Islam is preached, actively promoted for the sake of gaining converts, in public school I would think that leftists would be just as quick to condemn it as Christianity as a breach of separation of church and state.

But unless I'm mistaken, that appears not to be the case.

I'm not talking about preaching muslim religion to kids at a public school. That's rediculous.

And you are correct no liberal would want any religion promoted in schools. I think all religion is rediculous but it is a major part of the human condition and should be studied from that angle.

I don't care if the school district is preaching Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Judaism, Scientology, whatever. I just want my kids in there so I can sue and get their college paid for by the school district.

Okay, so this was just a miscommunication.

Thanks for the "fat fuck". Made my day.

It seems he wasn't talking about Muslims preaching. In my view, he's being a bit off topic here, talking about whether we should teach students about religion from an academic standpoint. My OP was about preaching in public schools and the fact that it's blatantly unconstitutional. If he wants to broaden the issue, that's fine, but it wasn't what I was originally discussing.

My mistake was assuming everyone would know that I would never advocate preaching any religion in class or elsewhere. I hope for the day religion will be in the history books only.
