This has been known for quite a while.

Yeah.

Perhaps to people like us (not me), but how much do you bet that the general public doesn't?

I'm still waiting to meet this "general public" that just goes into stores and buys games off the shelf based on the box art, having absolutely no idea what theyre spending their $60 on. I've just never encountered these people in real life, and I'm really starting to question whether or not they exist.

They are called relatives.

You have relatives that buy on cover art alone? The only relatives I have who are clueless enough to do that don't buy games unless they're for holiday/Bday, so they know what to look for.

So after playing online a while I agree that kilik is a pain in the ass when people just spam his attacks. BUT if that's what they're doing then you can beat him pretty easily by side stepping. Most of the combos/attacks used by the noobs who don't know his full moveset are avoidable by just sidestepping and beating the hell out of him while he's swinging at air. Now a person more skilled with him is a different story, as they'll notice and try and get you with a horizontal combo that a sidestep won't avoid.

I got the game yesterday, and I like it a lot....but man it is infuriating too. I really don't like the 'skills' system. Some levels of the tower are really annoying thanks to the skills of your (many) opponents.

And I know plenty of people who bought and buy games like Star Wars Pod Racer. You know they didn't do any research on it but bought it because they knew the name. The best selling games aren't usually to the "hardcore gamer" demographic. If you are and all your friends are part of that, of course you won't know anyone who buys games with no or limited research.

you know u can buff/equip your characters for the tower as well. Hell around floor 33 it becomes a requirement

I know. I just don't really like the skills that take away portions of the game - like auto grapple break or nullify ring out.

I seem to recall the single player in SC II infuriated me too, so it's ok, haha
