When Suprnova was around, it was all anybody used -- one big centralized repository, though utilizing individual trackers. All this seems to indicate -- to me anyway -- is that the nature of the BT community is shifting towards that centralized repository model once more. The impetus is the **AA closing down websites. (a-holes that they are) Eventually, we'll all probably be using The Pirate Bay, or maybe a tracker in Palestine, where they don't even pretend to care about legality. (Which is not to say that downloading TV is illegal, just to say that even if someone says it is, Palestinian admins don't care)

By the way, any ATers with sweet upstream happen to live in Palestine?

That could be the 99.9% bug reported in the new Azureus 2.3.0.0 where it's just reporting incorrectly. That's the version you're using right ?

I haven't been. I don't download a whole lot so I'm relatively unconcerned but it still sucks that just because the MPAA feels like it, I can't see the new Dr. Who cause it isn't even broadcast here

The black market for general television programs has grown just like the one for pirated movies. The MPAA wants to put a stop to that as well.

The Motion Picture Association of America filed suit against six sites it accuses of being BitTorrent conduits for television shows. The sites sued Thursday are ShunTV, Zonatracker, Btefnet, Scifi-Classics, CDDVDHeaven and Bragginrights.

Maybe the MPAA needs to put these shows on DVD's so we can rent and buy them...

I've quit and restarted at least three times with no success, I'm getting "Problem connecting to tracker - (7, 'getaddrinfo failed')".

I watched ALL of them this season from btefnet and never got one with bad data...

Is that why the deadwood ep like a week ago was all screwed up? ended up not using bt for it.

Oh yeah, real quick: the btefnet tracker's name server appears to be down. The current Doctor Who torrent uses a plain IP, but I'm pretty sure it's what the tracker's old IP used to be.
