Maybe I am crazy, but if you have 1GB-60GB of music available to you, why in the hell would you need an FM tuner?

someone might have a specific morning show they want to listen to while they jog or work out in the morning. a lot of regular people don't have 1 GB of music on their home PC's, let alone 60 GB, but they still want the portable music. it's nice to have the variety.

I can see your point.

Personally, I would much rather have an AM tuner, but people probably would think I am nuts.

also, at many gyms, they have fm transmitters to go along with their TV's. you can dial into the specific station and listen to whichever tv you want.

that said, i'd really like an AM tuner as well.

What exactly is the price? When it's listed in Pricegrabber from several sources, I'll get back to ya...

You were quick to criticize the ipod shuffle price in the article (in the past thread), it wasn't from pricegrabber either.

My point is, both of these products were more expensive then other MP3 players during press release, but you pick on the Apple product and don't mention anything about the Sony prices.

I aways post Links to PriceGrabber, or Froogle. There's no credibility to rants about "value" without them!

I only buy Sony products on sale, using coupons, rebates, price matches and every other trick in the book to knock the prices down. Good luck doing that with Apple!

I don't worry about the money that I spend on Apple products becuase I would get at least two-thirds of it back if I decided to sell it. In the technology world, that is value.

"In the technology world" bang for the buck is getting the fastest product (CPUs, GPUs, HDDs), largest displays, largest storage space, with the most features for the least amount of money right now. That's what AnandTech was founded on, and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Sure. Go back to my post in this thread comapring players and prices. They aren't that far off. Couple that with the fact that you get more of that money back from an iPod and it is a great bang for your buck.

Which mp3 player do you own?
