They have been pissed off since the GTX460 *shrugs*
Yea, I'm sure AMD fans are really pissed that Nvidia was finally able to get a decent, well rounded part out. Something they haven't been able to do since January of 09. A year and a half later they finally get a decent part out, I'm sure AMD fans are quite angry.
The 460 rules at $200. Below that the 5770. The 5850 at $280 falls in line (though given the 460's performance I think the 5850 should be closer to $250). Than the 470, 5870, 480, 5970... everything is priced as it should as you go up the performance ladder. What's there to be pissed at by AMD or Nvidia fans? Nvidia released a part that should put some pressure on AMD, we really haven't seen that since the GTX2xx / Radeon 4xxx days.
As far as Tegra is concerned, I do think this is semi big for Nvidia if true. It may or may not be a huge money maker, but Tegra seems to reallly be struggling in the market place. If they can get Tegra 2 in the PSP that could be the life line Tegra may need. Despite the hype, it's just not in a lot of devices at this point. But, is Tegra 2 really powerful enough for PSP2? I thought it was aimed more at cell phones and such. I'm not super familiar, so maybe I'm wrong? If it is aimed at cell phones and PDA / GPS type devices, it's and odd choice in my opinion.
