She woke up today and found all 4 17 inches gone. The two jack they use still laying around.

She has a 1999 Civic SI. Everything is stock but the rims. I'll post pic later.

Holy Sh!t! Did this happen in Blacksburg? If yes I gotta watchout for my 17" BBS :Q

That sucks, but she's lucky they didn't steal the car too. Isn't that generation of the Si a thief magnet in general?

Bingo. They're awesome cars and definitely hot targets. They're worse then Integras IIRC.

Most Stolen Vehicles of 2003

The integra takes up six of the top ten slots. 🙁

Lots of Civics are on the list though.

Definatly bunny.

Spending mucho $$$ on rims and not springing $30 for wheel locks is just plain foolish. I only have factory alloy rims on my car and I still put wheel locks on them.

Like wheel locks are going to stop a good thief........

Happened to my friend once. We were coming out of the bar and we got in his car and some guy yells at us, "Hey, one of your tires is missing." So we get out and sure enough, the back right tire is completely gone. The axis and the actual wheel were just resting on a cinder block. No clue why people steal sh!t like that.

I kid you not, if you were French, you'd rationalize it by saying that whoever is that desperate must need it a whole lot more than you do and they deserve your sympathy.

It doesn't really matter if all the lug nuts are locks, a thief will just use a universal type socket (the kind mechanics/tire shops use when you can't find your key) to take locks off.

Wheel locks are the like The Club, they only stop amateurs.
