Some of us aren't sheep. Besides, how long has the Zune been around compared to the ipod?

Never mind. I'm not getting into the argument.
Those of us who are not sheep didn't buy either the zune or the ipod, they bought one of the better (and cheaper!) mp3 players.
I had Creative before my Zune. It was a very poor experience.

Zune sucks, nobody is buying it. Deal.

Sadly...Zune had/has so much potential (as did/does the Gigabeat S...which looks better). If only M$ would support the products better. My wife loves her Gigabeat, and I like it too (fast, good sound quality, great UI, etc...)...but I might go with Creative the next time around.

My friend has one and I really like the interface on the player itself.

I like my Zune. I bought it. I'm dealing with it just fine thanks!

I really don't want to start a iPod / Zune war, but do you think every person that has an iPod is just a mindless sheep who is not capable of individual thought? It always annoys me when people make broad generalizatons about someone based on something as trivial as the portable mp3 player that they own.

Hay, stupids! For first generation hardware, Zune is pretty damn good. iPod sucked when it was first-gen (still sucks, but that''s just IMO - I absolutely hate the "clickwheel"; give me buttons any day!).

The Zune can only get better. Also, I've had no problems with the Zune software once I figured out how to stop it from popping up automagically when I plugged it in to charge. I use mine every day in my truck, I even changed the "Aux" text to read "Zune" when I press my source button.

Oh, and before the Zune I had a Philips MP3 player. It worked fine, used WMP to synch, but the interface was the laggiest thing I'd ever used, and the heat-sensitive controls were difficult to get used to, much worse then the ones on my LG 8500 phone.

They don't have anything out for the Zune yet but considering they have tackled all other major mp3 players I wouldn't be surprised if they released on in the near future. So keep a look out.

I love my Creative Vision:M. Way more features than an ipod and it cost me $180. My only general complaint is that I wish they would use tactile buttons, but that's the same thing with the ipod.

o man when i read the topic title i thought someone hit with a bat for trusting Microsoft...i'm off when i study too much 😛

first gen hardware isn't much of an excuse when its hardly bleeding edge anymore, ipods been out for how many years? the trails been freakin blazed, atleast get what your competitors already do right correctly.

I didn't say you were a sheep. I said iPod > * when it comes to usability. I've owned dozen or so MP3 players and the iPod is by far the easiest to use.

I haven't owned dozens, but I've had three others and my Ipod Nano 2nd gen 8GB is by far the best. and FWIW, I actually like itunes. I'm not an Apple person in any way, shape or form, but they have the mp3 player market cornered as far as I'm concerned.
