<< but do you have a problem with that? >>

Actually, no I don't. I just wanted a thread with a lot of responses, so I started one about cars.

My parents wouldn't drive their car until the weather is perfect, they own a Subaru Legacy all-wheel drive.

story: i was walking to lunch the other day and saw a Ferrari F355 Berlinetta parked on the first floor of a parking garage...

funny part: i live in houston... 2 weeks ago that parking space would be 10ft. under water...

point: you can't predict the weather... drive what u want when u want...

GoldenBear,

Compared to what? A 16 year old with a face by Pizza Hut, who spends his evenings sitting in a chair that mommy covered with plastic so it wouldn't be ruined when he wet himself watching a WWF match?

LOL... yeah like they predicted that tropical storm that came out of nowhere and dumped over a year's worth of rain over Houston over 2-3 days that caused over 4 billion dollars in damage? yeah they told us about that one right away... gimme a break... anyone can look at charts and pull forecasts out their ass; it's not like they're going to get in trouble for being wrong...

<< It is a CORVETTE! It should be at home, safely tucked away in the garage under it's protective cover. It should not be driven on days like this. >>

I completely agree, I keep mine garaged all winter. The question I have is, is why would you want to drive a car like that in the rain. They must be thanking their stars for the gift of trac. control.

Ditto everyone else - it's made of plastic and corvettes are a dime a dozen. Now if you said it was some guy's mint, never restored pristine classic '69 vette or something that'd be a different story.

But... car outside in the rain.. <shrug>

And as for cars that are meant to be driven.. well, if you're not driving it, you're not enjoying it - so what's the point?

Sorry Russ, while I agree that CVars should be well taken care of, they should also be driven....

Heck I drove my Saleen Year round in Massachusetts when I lived there, granted when there was snow on the road it sat in the driveway, but I still drove it after it plowed.

Almost reminds me of ferris bueller's day off, when Cameron said his dad wiped the Ferrari GT california down with a diaper...if that were mine I would have quit my job and just drove the car :)

Maybe he has a Porsche in his Garage and he uses the Vette as his everyday ride.

Ehh, storing the car everytime it rains is kinda much - but I'm someone who believes in storing it in the winter. It's what I'll be doing with my car because road salt can be a bitch. I also know what you mean about driving in conditions when you can enjoy the car - I dread the rain because it kills my traction, so I can't accelerate too much without losing it :(

I'm sorry but that made no sense. Pizza Hut did not make my face, literally and figuratively, I don't have a chair of plastic, my "mommy's" lying in the hospital, and WWF programming only comes on twice, maybe three times a week.

As much as I hate to say it, Shinerburke's insults are much more creative and funny than yours and Red Dawn's. And plus he doesn't use the same lines over and over.

You're too old to play this game..

Colt - are you sure it's fiberglass? I remember getting into some dumb argument with (I think?) a saturn owner.. turns out he was right, his car WASN'T fiberglass, it really was plastic. hehehe. Honestly don't know about the vettes. But I'm thinking with that big ass they've got, any metal parts should be well protected from the rain underneath. ;-)

(oh I'm just screwing with the vette fans, all in fun guys)
