Some moron shot a cat in the head with a crossbow.

Wow. I'd say that must've used at least two lives. Lucky kitty.
 
They never claim it was fired from a compound or composite bow, and the technical term for a crossbow arrow is a bolt, but I'm sure they weren't too concerned with noting the difference. "Arrow" works just fine in layman media.
 
was it in someone elses yard? i so hate people who let cats roam. i'd prefer a less cruel dispatch for such intruders though
 
I swear, if I caught someone doing crap like that to even a stray in my neighborhood, I'd break their arms and legs... It doesn't help that I have a cat that looks just like that one...

Agreed. I used to have a cat that looked just like that one. 🙁. It angries up my blood.
 
I recommend going for the total cat replacement in this situation.

Methinks the piece of sh!t who did this needs a little arrow in the face to see how they like it.

I'm not advocating violence, but feel no remorse if the person who shot the cat just happened to be shot in the same manner - at least he'd know what he just put that animal through.

It depends on the situation. Did someone shoot the cat in its own yard? Sounds to me like the cat was allowed to roam the neighborhood freely, and this is what happened.

It's cruel, but it is your legal responsibility to keep your pet under your control and supervision. If you let your cat wander freely, expect bad things to happen to it. There are sickos out there, it's a fact. But the cat was the owner's responsibility.

Also, it's possible that the cat was damaging someone's property or peeing in someone's yard. We just don't know the details, we only know the end result.
