i was walking my 4 months old pomeranian and he broke loose from his collar. He was running around her trying to play with her and her kid. She has her little kids, about 5 years old with her. I'm trying to catch him but can't.

He would just run around and the kid was afraid, she pick up the small plastic stool, about 5 inches high, and pegged it at my dog. I called the police. The police are coming. Are there anything i should worried about beside my dog is limping? Like legal issues?

Thanks

For those who haven't see the dog

Bruno

stool she use but it's white. STOOL

Call the police back and ask them not to come and said sorry for wasting their time. I admited it,it's my fault that Bruno didn't listen, but i told her he didn't bite but she pegged him any way. Time to get a new leesh.

well if she thought her kids were in danger of being bit by an unleashed dog, she has every right to defend herself and her kids.

Poor Bruno. All he wanted to do was play. :(

Unless he was growling she was way out of line.

Dude, if you can't keep your rabid child eating beast on its leash, you should be taking your dog out of its cage.

wtf? I hate people with irrational fear of dogs, especially when they are lap dogs - jeez!

No kidding. I probably would have punted the little mutt across the street if he was running around barking at me and my son.

yeap.

the OP is in the wrong. Even though the lady over reacted she did NOTHING that was against the law. YOU have to keep your dog on a leesh.

I have two punchure scars on my left cheek when my grandmaws "lap dog" decided to see what my face tasted like when I was 5 years old, and it was a pomeranian.

I have a Pom (as you prob know from your original I got a dog thread)... and he would never bite anyone. They are toy dogs and all they want to do is run until they can't run anymore (yeah it sucks taking them out because they will tire you out)... but the point is... their excitedness can come off looking like aggression. Still, this lady should've been able to tell the difference. Poor Bruno. How long has he been limping ?

BTW, you have to get a better leash for these little guys... the body harness works best.

You can't expect every single person to know all the classifications of dogs and which ones are lap dogs, which ones bite, which ones kill, etc. What you can expect a person to do is defend their child. I'm not saying that I think what she did is right, only that I think it can be expected. File it under "things that may happen if my dog gets away from me and chases a scared kid and his mother".

LMAO at a pom. But I guess some people don't know dogs. Besides, size doesn't mean everything. Chihuahuas can be vicious little runts, but a lot of golden retrievers you can torment to no end and they will hardly bat an eye.

I was at a friend of my wife's home once and she had this yappy little mutt that kept growling at me. I was sitting at the table and it came up to me and nipped at my foot so I kicked it in the head. It pretty much left me alone after that.

I don't like small yappy breeds like that. Most of them are too high strung.

My neighbor has a poodle that's pretty cool. I think his poodle has the hots for my dog (75lb female black lab).

Thats right. And it doesn't matter if it is a rottweiler or a pomeranian. Her kids were scared and thats all I need to know. The cops will most likley side with her. Case closed be more careful next time.

Why did you call the police? Your dog was off the leash and, since you say the child was afraid, I'd guess the woman felt she was protecting her child. Legal issues you might have to worry about - you getting a ticket for an unleashed animal or the police suing you because they laughed so hard they hurt themselves after they saw your dog. :)

when a strange dog comes running towards me, my initial reaction would be to punt it.

No growling, no barking or yipping or anything? Just running around and panting?

Dude, with that face how could she misinterpret it? I realize the kid was scared but she could have picked the kid up instead of hucking something at your dog.
