Quite interesting, especially the "Share of visits" pie chart compared to the Audience Composition... 1% of the members (addicts) are generating 35% of the hits :D

I mean... :(

Someone posted something like this before, but it lacked the graphs and it had more info (i.e. car ownership statistics and other stuff like that).

And last time a lot of people misinterpreted the stats - i.e. the ethnicity graph makes it look like we have more Asians than white people here, and some people interpret it that way and dismiss it. If you read it though, it's saying our Asian density is 4x the Internet average. Not necessarily more Asians than Caucasians, just more than average.

I disagree. If we have more Asians than average, and less Caucasians than average, then we have more Asians than Caucasians.

While that may be the case, that was not the point of my post. The details are irrelevant, I was just explaining the statistics since a lot of people misinterpreted them last time.

Edit: http://www.quantcast.com/faq.jsp
Their stats are for US users only, so you're probably wrong.

Wait, what? Dude, have you ever read a graph before? Obviously the number is the percent of normal for whatever Category Anandtech has. So if the race chart for example lists 85 for whites and 385 for Asians, that simply we means we have 85% as many white and 385% as many asians as an average website/messageboard/whatever.

Let's say the average site has 80% whiteys, 10% asians, and 10% african americas. And AT has 62,000 viewers a month. That means we 42,160 whites and 23,870 asians. i.e. you're completely, utterly wrong.

I have no idea what the "average" is for the Internet and I'm willing to bet good money these guys don't either. But your logic is still flawed.

Made sense in my head. Guess I can stop posting in that IQ thread.

At least you're capable of typing correctly. Lately my posts are more and more resembling something Sam Neil would've been capable of typing by the end of Event Horizon. :frown:
