It's correct. 2 lanes go to one.
It's not that uncommon.
I've never seen that. The only thing remotely close is when you have two lanes on one side but one on the other - then the right lane on the 2 lane part turns into a right turn only lane. I've never seen it any other way, and it's stupid to have it as your diagram shows. That can't be legal to be that way....2 lanes merging in an intersection? You can't change lanes in an intersection...I don't see how this could have been designed this way.
I can think of one where I live. The intersection of Hillsboro and Harding Place does the exact same thing.
So you're telling me they designed an intersection that has two lanes merge INSIDE the intersection? It is illegal to change lanes in an intersection...and actually a certain distance before one. Doesn't seem possible that something like this would exist.
