Some idiot just chased me at high speed

I was waiting for a light. The roads are wet. Light turns green, I move up, I see the car on my right wants to get in in front of me so I let him in. Then the flatbed towtruck behind him speeds up and tries to get in also, and I dont let. I get in front of the truck. There are two men in the cab. The driver honks his horn and flashes his lights, flips the bird, etc. There is absolutely no reason why I should let him go in front of me. I already let one person in and that's normall y the accepted rule of the road. One car from each lane goes. Anyway, the speed limit is 40. He's about a foot from my rear bumper, so I speed up. I'm going 65 and he's still right up on my bumper. This goes on for about 5 or 6 minutes. I take a right turn down a very curvy road which is right over the side of a lake. He takes the turn too. The road is very slippery beacuse of the rain, and I know he can't keep up with me there or he'll end up in the lake. He starts falling back until I lose him.

I don't know, maybe they're at the bottom of the lake.

Should I have called the cops?
Should I still call the cops?

I had an experience with that on the highway. A driver was riding my ass so I took my foot off the pedal to slow down. He got real pissed and made like he was going to run me off the road. He took off as soon as I whipped out a cell phone.

I would have just stayed the same speed or slowed down as others have said. Did you get the company name off the truck? If so, contact them and let them know what happened. If they are a decent company, then they should do something about it. I love screwing with people.

I don't know why people get so upset when you get tailgated. Just stop looking in your rear view mirror... I don't care what people do behind me since it has no affect on how I drive. Whether they are 1 foot or 10 years behind me, it doesn't matter.

Yep, I'll be going 60 in a 55 and they are riding my ass with plenty of time to pass me, but dont. I usually slow down to about 25-30mph before they finally pass me, now its my turn to ride their ass. :evil: Road rage? Maybe a little....

I have also not let someone pass on the inside lane on the highway, knowing their lane turned into an "exit only" lol. That lady looked like she was gonna blow a gasket.

I've seen many 2 lane roads go down to one lane AFTER the intersection, but not in the middle of it. That would make it the most dangerous intersection ever.
