Some good PC games to give to/play with a 7-10 year old? Single and multiplayer

Scribblenauts is awesome.
Any LEGO game (pick his favorite action/super heroes). I had a BLAST playing these with my kids when they were younger.

This game is probably a good test to see what he's made of. If he cries at the end, then he's normal, but if he just 'eh whatever..' then you know you have identified a sociopath early! ^_^

I noticed on Steam that Gauntlet is coming back... but it's a Mature title for the graphic gore. 🙁

...but let's face it - it's us guys who played it in the arcades 20 years ago that are most excited about it anyway! :biggrin:

Definitely go for some Lego games. Those are made for children and are especially fun to play couch co op.

Surprised no one said Garys Mod. Personally its not for me but kids seems to LOVE LOVE it. On steam for 10$ but you can find it for 2.50 occasionally.

You can try Injustice: Gods Among Us, it's a fighting game developed by the people that made Mortal Kombat. Many popular DC heroes like Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman, just be sure to play with a gamepad as fighters don't usually work well with mouse and keyboard.

show the kid the early games so then as you get newer and newr games he can appreciate how quality of games has improved. I sure do miss Quake 1 gaming.
