I picked up an Evercase with AMD approved power supply for $39 shipped.

They have some Fong Kai for $70 shipped

some enermax cases for like $46 shipped.

some pretty good deals IMO
 
Nice find. They also have the antec 840 for $92 shipped. That could be sweet if it's in like new condition as are lots of newegg's refurbs. I paid $119 shipped for my 840.
 
My refurb fong kai had 2 cracks on the lid-I complained and they credited my account $35.
Be VERY careful on refurb case's YOU pay to ship it back.

I have bought 7 refurb case's from newegg-

3 black enermax-

1 gray chieftec (was suppose to be another black enermax)-

1 white chieftec 1030-

1 enlight 7237-

1 inwin J508P Its was the WORST of all of them the entire front panel was missing-I called and screamed-The girl said its oem barebones--I said there is no oem barebone cases with the front panel missing-Got a hold of a floor supervisor and screamed at him some and they said just keep it-no charge.

Not 1 of them is refurbished in any sence of the word. All were either missing parts-scratched-etc.

Will I be buying refurb stuff from newegg on monday-probally-I'll never learn.





 
Sounds like these cases were damaged in some way or another and they are just selling them asis.
 
That sucks, scratched up cases?!? They're supposed to be considered OEM right? So you do have the option to send it back to them and they'll give you another yes?
 
Yes I had the option to send them back at my expence. I would rather pay $8 to ship back back a rma refurb motherboard then $20+ to ship back a refurb case. So If your gonna buy some refurb stuff make it something little that is cheaper to send back since YOU are the 1 paying for shipping it back.

Newegg clearly states that if you receive something damaged refurb or oem or new or whatever, YOU pay to ship it back.

Now I got alot of money off those 4 enermax after I griped, And I did get a free inwin case with no face after I screamed and ranted.

I buy alot of refurb stuff off newegg-probally too much and I have been enjoying getting different systems together after being on a tekram amd board for too long, but with the crazy memory prices it has taken all the fun out of it. I'm sure like most of you-you have some pc133 memory laying around but I didn't have any ddr ram collecting dust and it sucks to hunt for deals on everything just to get nailed on ddr memory.

OK 2 last complaints-I dont believe newegg is checking over any refurb stuff before it goes out-that would explain my case with no face.

After the case fiasco I asked them please check my refurb orders before they go out-NO can do I was told-there are a couple thousand orders going out on any given day and they don't check them.
And I don't like that fact it takes a day or 2 to process orders-it defeats the purpose if you order next day air.

Well I got to go write out money orders for orders to newegg for stuff I bought on friday. I bought 6 of those refurb lite on 12x burners at $43 a piece and a couple refurb athlon processor's and a refurb nikoa black case $29+8 shipping-I told you all I'll never learn.

If you do have a problem at newegg ask for johny-He is a floor supervisor at newegg-I believe he is asian so he's a little hard to understand on the phone but he has helped me with a few problems. And speaking of problems its cool they have a 800 so you can scream at them and make them pay for the call.

And while your at it ask them why refurb means 1 thing to you and a differnet thing to them.

Just got two of my cases today. The Evercase came in an looked pretty good. The side panel is a bit messed up for the "screwless" entry, but it looks okay. The Enermax case I got, I cried over. NO Styrofoam used in shipping it out. The case looked pristine except.................The top of the molded front panel was cracked and broken all to hell!!!!!! A beautiful case otherwise! I don't know if it was damaged in shipping to me or if it was damaged before it got to me. I'll probably try to argue this one out on the shipping cost back to them as:

A) If it cracked in transit to me, it should be on them as they didn't pack it properly/

B) If it was messed up like this before they sent it out, it wasn't refurbished!!!!!!!
 
The enermax was $70 + $15 shipped?--I got $50 back per case on the enermax's and got to keep them. Its too bad i wasn't the evercase that was messed up.
 
I got on the phone and politely explained that they shipped out the enermax case without any packing. Upon hearing my story, he told me to keep it and they would refund my money. I was very pleased with their customer service. Guess I gotta start swapping out power supplies and see if I can "refurb" this case for my 5yr old's PIII 900 system
 
Hell yeah a free enermax case!! --is it the chieftec case 1?. I took the enermax ps out of mine and Im gonna list it on ebay-I have some nice sparkle ps that i want to use up.
 
Dangit, they only credited me $20 for my cracked bezel...I am calling back and complaining. 2 cracks in the front of my Fong Kai as well by the way, but it says a lot that they make it right. They are willing to either lower the price to make you happy or they will replace it.
 
I got $35 off on my black fong kai because of a crack on that fold down bezel. I bought a refurb full tower inwin and 3 of the black refurb chieftec 1030 today.
 
I got an enermax alienware clone...and it was missing so many parts i cant install any drives! buyer beware...now i either need replacement parts, or an rma....
 
Just got my antec 840, only had one small dent on the removeable door. After a little complaining that this was not a refurb product, but rather someone elses return I got $ 50 off. With shipping total was $42 . Not bad for a case with an antec 400w power supply. I'll pop the dent out, do a little sanding and repaint the case. Will be good as new!!

After hearing some of the other case stories. I think this will be my last refurb case purchase though. I just got lucky this time..😀:|:Q😛
 
heh heh heh.... i got really i guess on my refurb antec. I just got it yesterday afternoon (fedEx took forever to deliever it a mere 200 miles). anyway, I ordered a antec 840, but when it got to my door it was a antec 1040! yay for me! Anyhow, it came in the most nastiest looking beat up box i've ever seen, but once i opened it up and took a look at the case, it all seems too good to be true after hearing all of your stories. The only damage to the case I see are a couple of slight (and i mean almost innoticable from a few feet) spots on the non swinging cover where the paint is rubbed off some. Other than that, its all good. I haven't tried the PS yet but it doesn't look to me to have been serviced. 😀
 
If your not expecting to be in perfect shape and willing to make a call to complain-I say buy them. It seems alot of us are getting $50 off, and if i'm getting $50 off I dont' care if its not perfect-I can live with a scratch or a dent-If your like me your going to mod the case so its going to need paint anyway's or put a sticker over the scratch or dent-now if its really busted up-thats a different story.
 
keyman923, i ordered the nikoa black as well. came in today, busted up and beige! called Newegg up and they told me just keep it! ur right, some are pretty messed up, but free is good. top it all off, the overnighted it to me!
