Some fvcker tried to steal my headlight!!

we just got done playing basketball around 6pm at a church near my house and...

i noticed a car parked really close to my car when i was walking towards it so i beeped the horn so that he knows im coming out. So he wont open his door and hit my car, but then he just drove away slowly. I didn't notice the damage till i got closer and freaking freaked out and started running towards the direction the car turned to leave the parking lot but he was gone!!!!!

The thing that piss me off is that i parked in backward so my headlights were facing out toward the rest of the parking lot. so that everyone could see it and it was under a light pole. But they did this and no one heard or saw anything???? ppl were parking and walkin to church!!!!!!

SO SAD 🙁

EDIT1: Thanks everyone i hope the fvcker gets what he deserves.

EDIT2: Just got back from the body shop it will cost $2334.80 :Q but the somewhat good news is, since one new 2004 headlight assembly cost them $795 and I can get 2 new 2006 headlight(has xenon projectors and looks much nicer) for $929.99 and just pay the difference.

EDIT3: i will only pay the deductible which is $500 + the diff for the new headlights

EDIT4: finally got her back today 🙂 final cost to insurance
$3200!!! 2006 Headlights looks so much cleaner 🙂

hehe, jk. That really sucks. If you remember how the car looked like (if it was unique at all) then keep a sharp eye out for it when you're on the road.

ya it was a early 90s burgundy Corolla or Sentra with a spoiler
 
I read about this happening a while back, i assume their the xenon lights in the car, people steal them and sell them to honda civic ricers to use for headlights since they look cool. lol

mine is an 04 it has HIDs but ya thats why they steal them :|
 
So how would they take out he headlight? Looks like they were using a crowbar or something. Do they take out the whole headlight and compartment (?) or just the bulb (I'm a car noob 😛)

ya it looks like they used a crow bar and they would take the whole headlight assembly, but ive read its really ez to pop them out usually with a big flat head screwdriver
 
that looks horrible! of all the things he could take like the rims or the whole car he tries to take a damn headlight wtf !?!?!?!? how much do they go for?!

sounds like this fker lives in this neighborhood...i would camp out in a car on the street to find this person...

would u be able to recognize the same car if u saw it again?

i would file a police report to the local authorities

so not only did he try prying off the headligh with a crowbar but he also hit your car as he was pulling away? what a low life!

i think so and i already filed a police report and called the insurance.

i see some of these headlights on eBay with the description saying that the tab is broken and crap!!

camp out for the f0cker... keep baseball bat on hand

insurance ought to cover it btw (if you have theft coverage.. i believe most do)

edit: OH and DEFINATELY file a police report ASAP, i think you only have 24 hrs and it cannot hurt.

I just don't see how he expected that to come out in one piece after doing so much damage and still hadn't gotten it out.
