Without knowing what had been done to the bike it's pure speculation.

However, I would tend to agree with the doubters. Unlikely he was doing 205.

At this point does it really make a difference? Even if they knock off 50 mph he's still in deep sh!t.

Knock off 100 mph & he's still looking at major trouble.

He's a dumbass, he got busted. 155 or 205 really makes no difference.

State trooper is an idiot.

205 MPH = 300.67 feet per second.

1/4 Mile = 1320 feet.

It takes him 4.4 seconds to go through that distance, which means even if he was off by 0.5 seconds, he would be traveling 186 mph.

Are you retarded, or do you just play Corky on the internet? I'm not posting about that, I'm posting about the CNN article. I used SilverTorch's thread as a point of reference to the story.

Since there are already people talking about it, including today people posting quotes of others bashing the 200+ ticket, this is a repost. It should have been added to one of the multitude of original threads. And no Corky, I don't want to play with you on the internet.

I am proud to say that the 1st person questioning the 205mph claim is me!

RC51s can go higher than 160MPH on a track, but I agree that he would've needed a turbo to hit 205MPH.

205MPH does seem a little high, considering he was on a road and not a track.

Without digging through that thread I'm going to venture a guess that this article from CNN is not in the other thread.

If that's the case, then I would be posting a new thread on an article produced today, thus no repost since it's new material. I'm not making a thread concerning others opinions in the other thread.

You really should examine your life closely, what with the need to police an internet forum. You better scurry off and bust someone else before mommy gets home and kicks you off her PC.

yeah, but if the police made an error then they're might be able to do something in court with that.

If you see somthing going that fast, don't even bother timing it. Your dash cam is all the neccessary evidence.

very true, any error, even minor ones, can cost you the whole case in American judicial system. There are countless examples of that.

I think you screwed up your math somewhere.
4.4s * 300 f/s = 1320 feet (i.e. quarter mile)

Actually, the first person to call shens in this forum was Halik. You were 2nd, possibly 3rd since someone was ambiguous. Nonetheless, the trooper was wrong.

Wheter or not that specific article is in the link doesn't matter. The fact is that you knew another thread existed, and decided to start a new one on the same topic. There is no need.

If you can't handle simple critisim (written in the form of a joke - that obviously you missed), then YOU need to reexamine yourself. There is no need to attempt personal attacks that are clearly misguided.

Radarless speed traps. They time the car as it passes through two sets of hash marks on the roadway.

Not with speeding. AFAIK, every state in the country has speeding laws that make it so the defendant has to establish that he was not speeding at all so he can get off, and not simply that the officer was off by a few mph. Ask any lawyer or judge who is familiar with traffic laws.
For example, let's say a cop writes you up for 70 in a 55. You argue with the cop that you were only doing 65, but he gives you a ticket anyway. You go to court and prove to the judge that you were only doing 65. He finds you guilty anyway. Why? Because you were still speeding under the law, and thus are guilty regardless of actual speed.

205 mph or 95 mph, this squid is toast.

Nah, I'll just keep posting and getting flamed. Try this link, it is funny and appropriate. Especially the part in red text. Heck even the part about proper forum is useful.
