Solution to my desk problem: Fix my current desk.

You think it's fixable? Maybe if I have two very even file cabinets then I can put this on top of them after I drill a perfect fit circle in both of them.

Simplest thing to try would be attaching some brackets like these

to the legs and the back support to hopefully stiffen the frame.

I prefer other things. I can stand to not have expensive furniture while having other things that I prefer to have. I'm not going to have anything I own except a few things in less than 4 years when I move across country...

I'll look into it. My original idea might be what was best after all. :\

Buy electrical conduit, long enough to make a cross-brace, hammer the ends flat, mark spots, spray paint said conduit flt black, drill holes and bolt them in.
Slightly bend each in the middle where they will cross.

This is going to be tricky but here it goes...

1) Push the back of the desk up against the wall behind the desk
2) Move that crap to the right of the desk out of the way
3) Push the desk up against the wall to the right
4) Double check that the back of the desk is still against the wall
5) Pick up and throw away the chip bag you slob
6) Go out and get some sun

Probably. The glass is surface is rigid. It just has that cheap sheet metal frame that wobbles. Mine mostly wobbled side-to-side and there are only two real joints that are flexing. Shouldn't be too hard to stop the wobble.
