Software development websites?

Are there software development sites out there? Microsoft seems to have some really nice, user-friendly pages with news, updates, columns for C#, .NET and such. Any others? If there is a site similar to Tom's Hardware/Anandtech/ArsTechnica but for software development, I'd love to know!

Edit: First post!

what sort of software are you looking to develop? theres business apps...game development...once you get specific it makes it easier 🙂

Pretty much any, except game development. Just like Anandtech covers just about everything related to hardware, is there a site that covers a wide range of software development news and articles? I'm looking for news and updates on Java, Python, C++, .NET, Javascript, software engineering, operating system concepts, etc. Anything, really.

A nice site I just found is Dr. Dobb's Journal website.

Artima.com is interesting. TheServerSide .com and .net for java and .net enterprise development respectively.

Thanks, those are good sites.

p.s. Blogs are ok if they deal with software development.
