Still, no direct links from their homepade or the product page. Odd to say the least. Anyway. Looking at the brochure, they do look nice. The H8HC8 is interesting looking to say the least. Very...

The K8WE is $427.

Have thought about say, maybe getting something like a A8N32-SLI and an Opteron 185?

Umm, I don't see an H8HC8... The H8DCE is $340, btw. I have thought about just getting a 939 dual core, but I would like to have dual-core dual-socket, for NUMA, as well as having the ability to upgrade to 8GB on 1gb dimms, for when Vista comes out, as BF2 already uses 1.7 GB ram and 2.5 GB page file, and Vista is a memory hog. Also, I can have 4 cores then, so when games become 'Dual Core Aware' I can still have a core dedicated to Vistas insane processor overhead, and have a core to run perifery tasks, as, for instance, frequently watch TV on my second monitor while I game. And, their is of course, cool factor and system responsiveness, both of which, while not all that important, are a factor. Lastly, I want a MOBO with 2x 16x PCI-E slots, 1x 8x mechanical slot for Raid card, 1x PCI-E for tv tuner card, and 1x PCI for sound card, and that's a hard combination to find, because It takes at least 37 PCI-E lanes, if the 8x slot runs at 4x.

The smart ones are NOT the people you see going...

Hey, look at my latest buiild!

The smart ones make the most of what they've got and put off chipset type upgrades as long as practically possible. With that said, practical is a differing standard from person to person. So with no application or program or purpose to tie the original question to, it's just way too much theory for a pea sized brainer like me! Gimme real problems with real options!

I've posted more info on the previous couple pages of the thread.
